Always enjoy that drive in either direction, you captured it well along with an excellent soundtrack choice.

I got to say. Your videos are probably the best quality in terms of signage and visual quality. Impressive!

Im driving this route to Florida in a couple of months. Thank you for this video because the maps make this look like the most confusing interchange in the country! Seems fairly straight forward though.

Can't wait to see you tackle NYC further! Once you change the arrows on the signs they will look great, especially with that gradient you put on! I've actually tried that in the past, but its nice that the effect is actually visible in your videos. All in all, another nice job!

I sure don't miss dragging a 53' trailer across that bridge, But I do miss the overall experience of just being in the NY, NJ area. Great video!

Good work, Potluri!! Nice to see that the Turnpike got their signs changed.

Rahul Potluri Yep. Those signs didn't work, and the Newark Bay Extension of the Turnpike or the southern part of the NJTPK could update their signage.

I'll never forget the time back in the early 90s when some guy with poor geography and southern plates (can't remember the state) driving up the West Side of Manhattan pulled over and asked me, "Can you tell me how to get to San Francisco?" I told him, "Get on that road down there... That's the West Side Highway... See that great big steel suspension bridge up a ways?" He said, "Yes.." I said, "That's called the George Washington Bridge, or GWB...From the West Side Highway, follow the signs for GWB West, and go across it...Once you get clear, you'll start seeing signs for a highway known as 'Interstate 80 West'... Once you're on that highway, take it until there absolutely, positively, AIN'T no more of it! You'll be in downtown San Francisco!"

Enjoyed the ride. Strangely I have no desire to go to NYC, but I always wanted to tackle the turnpike.

What's more scenic, East Spur or West Spur? In my thoughts, I'd say the East Spur. Between Newark and Bergen County, which spur is better to use in your opinion? As for me, I don't know.

The Eastern Spur is more scenic, with the expansive view of the Manhattan skyline from the Hackensack River Bridge.
The Western Spur is generally a slower commute, especially during rush hour. It has a much greater volume of truck traffic, and the loss of a lane in each direction north of Exit 16W creates a huge bottleneck.

@@RoadAdventure, the Eastern Spur is the main route of the NJTP, while the Western Spur is an alternate.
