I love your demos. There’s lot of people doing demos. Some of them play great but don’t explain anything. Some explain pretty good but don’t play that well. Others do both well but say so many words I don’t want to hear… and there is only a few like you that show your enthusiasm and passion for what you are doing and play great and explain so well what gear do. Congrats. You make me want to watch your videos. Keep doing great. Blessings.
Great demo, I’m sold! You forgot to mention the trick to turn on both sides or to switch from one to the other side by long pressing the foot-switch instead of the usual tap dancing! I really like that functionality!
Hoollyyy smokes.... this is the first time I see Kris putting his soul into that intro... that was the most melodical soulful bit of music I've heard you play. The whole video is killer. Great demo
Thanks so much! Here’s something important though: if the gear doesn’t inspire me I can’t improvise anything good. That’s just how it works for me. 😅 I always prepare the intro track WITH the pedal (or amp or guitar) so it’s always massively influenced by that piece of gear.
Really glad to hear that you liked it. I try to make videos that are worth the viewers time and that I’d enjoy to watch too. Sometimes it works, other times not so much, haha! Cheers!
Thanks so much man! Yeah this is pretty far from a standard ts9 circuit. Even with all the Switches in the traditional mode it sounds wider and fuller. Actually more like a TS10 with some tweaks and mods. I love it.
I'm debating whether either dual drive pedals or hopefully Browne Amplification come out with dual drive pedals with the carbon and the gritador it's will be hard to chose which one I would want
Oh man... If you start playing some Mayer, there will nothing left for the poor Guillaume 🙂 It was a great demo Kris. There seems to be a lot of options with this pedal and it is able to adapt to a lot of types of guitars. Just a remark, I would like to hear in the video the price of the equipment because I am always forced to go and check it via the link below (which can be an evil plot on your part ... 😅) All that said, that was a great demo and great playing as always Kris. You are always the first one I check when I want to see a pedal in action.
Hey buddy, thanks so much!! 💛 About JM: When I play Mayer it’s always only 60-70% accurate while my brother G nails all the songs all the time. 😅🙌 And that’s fine, he’s awesome. I don’t say the prices for a few reasons. 1. it’s very different depending on where the viewer lives so it doesn’t really help anyone 2. mostly I don’t know it exactly because I make these reviews before any official info goes online 3. these videos stay online for years. Imagine prices go way up (or down) over time. Then it’s even misleading to name a current price. I hope that makes sense. Also, the links in the description are absolutely harmless of course. Nobody gets charged anything extra. If anyone uses the affiliate link to buy it I just get a little share from the retailer. Which, again, only costs the shop a little, the buyer pays the normal price. So it really is fair game I think. 😁
Do you like the dumble side more on this or the unobtainium? I'm leaning toward the unobtanium for the feature set, but it's tough to say which one I'll get along with better.
I'm giving you my 2 cents: When talking about Dumble tone you should always ask yourself what Dumble Artist tone are you mostly chasing. As you know, "dumble tone" is so many different things, and two dumble artist (still maybe using the same dumble amp model) will most likely sound different. So (to me), talking in terms of a generic "D sound" or referring to ODS/SSS type sound doesn't really mean much. The Gladio (hence the imperium) is based on a specific dumble artist tone AND in a specific song, Robben Ford in cannonball shuffle. That's it. And Robben himself started using the Gladio since 2021 so I think it's a pretty accurate reproduction of his sound. So, can I say that the Gladio (or the imperium) is representing of the whole Overdrive Special model only because Robben used it? meh... I don't think so. But, if you like Larry Carlton or Eric Johnson more maybe the gladio isn't probably for you. Hope this helps 😉
Hey Kris amazing demo and beautiful playing - sounded ace! You make that pedal sound exceptional. Anyway, I’ve got to ask - the antique is on the left side and the Gladio on the right, right? So why is the stack control labeled the other way around? GA…. That’s just confusing. Not trying to be negative, the pedal is still obviously awesome, just wondering why the ergonomic decision was taken.Maybe you can ask someone at Cornerstone…. Anyway, keep on what you’re doing, you rock!
Thanks so much man! I really appreciate it! And yeah, that is in fact a little confusing. Antique is on the left side, Gladio on the right. I'll ask Emilio why they labeled the switch the other way around.
It might just been a right to left logic. Gladio listed first on the label as it’s on the right. Might not have anything to do with lining up the actual sides with the switch labels.
Marco from Italy
@@KrisBarocsi Please! I need to make a purchase decision between these two, and so far NO ONE has done a comparison. I think you should start the trend. Great demo of this pedal, AND your unobtainium was great too.
Hi, nope, I used the clean channel of the amp. I almost never put my drive pedals in front of a dirty amp (unless it’s a tube screamer) because I like running every pedal in front of the amp. And I don’t want my delay and reverb to be crunched up. Cheers!
Thanks so much Chris! It was a happy accident, haha! I liked it so much, I started using this kinda bend since this improv solo. If you dig it, go for it and use it too. 😄
Ah dude, this thing makes you coffee, it offers automatic full protection against all viruses, pets mother nature and turns every lick into Guthrie Govan awesomeness (it has a secret trim pot inside for that). It’s a no brainer.
Your face looks so pained when you play... Maybe your amp is on too loud?!? 🤔Ennyways, that little machine made that conglomeration of metal, plastic, and wood sound very nice indeed...🤘🦄
That’s just my regular face when I listen to my playing. 😆 It’s painful sometimes. Nah man, I can’t help it. It literally just happens when I feel good playing. 🤷♂️
It's just very different and meant for different sounds. The Protein is based on a Blues Breaker + ODR1. The Imperium is on a total different planet sound wise. Our Gladio (Robben Ford dumble) + TS. The Colosseum we're about to release will be more comparable to the Protein

Thank a lot man! I always try to do that, sometimes with more, sometimes with less success. 😅 This is a great way of training creativity.
Just bought one Kris.
Always my first stop for killer demo's. Enjoyed. Love this pedal.
Much appreciated Joe! 🙏
Credit must be surely given to the player, not the pedal. Your intro sounded phenomenal. Congrats. Awesome playing.

Cool playing and great sounding pedal - perfect combination - greetings from Kris to Kris
Hi kris!
Great sounding pedal,but the honours
go to your excellent playing.
Great video
Thanks. 👍
Thanks so much! 🤗
He explains then he plays what he means, then I really understand. Awesome Kris way 👏
That was the plan. 😅🙌 Glad you liked it buddy!
Your demo is bascially a lesson on how to use the pedal. I love it and is is very clear you did too! Thanks!

Great video. Thanks it was helpful. Just purchased a used one.
Crazy awesome intro solo! Great playing.
Aww man, you’re very kind! 🙏
Once again my friend.... AMAZING playing! Very cool pedal, but, your playing is beyond.......
Thanks so much Rene! I really appreciate your kindness.
Wow!
I'm not a big fan of TS circuits, but this thing looks really good, and Kris makes it sound ,even better!

know how to showcase a product!
I dig it😊
great tones and playing

hey how did you get your tele neck pickup to sound so clear and an even oputput to your bridge pu?
Killer intro song man.
Thanks so much my dude!!

amazing intro! this song should be recorded! what song is it similar to? I feel like I need to find it.
Thanks a lot man! It doesn't really remind me of any other song (luckily) so I will make a full song out of it soon. So glad to hear that you like it!
