I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this UA-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

My boys. “Shoot out” was my first MV of them after seeing some stuff on a tumblr. It was between Alligator and Fallow when I found them. Fallow was my first comeback. Shownu is my bias. Kihyun is one of my wreckers (my other was/is Wonho), though Minhyuk has is moments for sure.
I love all their chores, but my top 10 are - hero, shoot out, alligator, fighter, jealousy, Dramarama, love killer, gambler, all in, stuck. Fallow and Fantasia are just out of top 10 for choreo.
My 1st comeback was alligator 🐊 . I fell for them in SHOOT OUT AERA
Definitely do check out their cover of Bruno Mars' 'Versace on the floor'. Jooheons vocals will literally have you ON THE FLOOR. He also participated in the masked singer. My man's an ace
100/10 recommend their album "the connect" like every song is amazing, especially lost in the dream and destroyer

Yay more Monsta X!!! Yes they are the suaviest. Their body control and ability to switch from smooth to hard/fast is amazing. Another dance practice from the same album as Love Killa is Beastmode and it is a completely different flavor. But still completely Monsta X. Enjoyed the analysis as always!
FreeMind, who comes up with their choreography, is really an amazing crew. They do a lot of other choreography for kpop idols, but some of their best stuff is for Monsta X imo... I think their styles just vibe with each other.

You definitely have to watch their b-side to Love Killa, BEASTMODE. It doesnt have an MV but you can watch BEASTMODE Live performance at MMA 2020 and BEASTMODE dance practice. Their other works If you want to check the MV and choreography are Fantasia, Shoot Out, Jealousy, Alligator, Follow, Dramarama, Shine Forever, All In, Stuck and also the underrated "NO EXIT".
Before you react to Fantasia I think you should watch beast mode dance practice. It's crazy to think they recorded on the same day and yet they are full of energy.

Welcome new Monbebe! I really like your reactions and comments on choreo! I first discovered MonstaX when I stumbled across their former member/brother Wonho’s TikTok clip of his first debut solo song, Open Minds. That video was life changing and I needed to know who this man was and where was he from! Which brought me to MonstaX and I am so glad I found them! For me they are all around thee most talented, mature, sexy, a little dangerous, all visually stunning, unique, grown male group in K-pop for this generation. They are MonstaX-MEN!!!

Can't wait to see the Shootout & Alligator Reaction Videos, for in my humble opinion, it was the "Peak" of Monsta X. Also, I guess the bonus clip would be their (Mirotic, Again and Again, Heartbeat) covers which requires this "Manliness" vibes to fully cover it, even though you can sing and dance along with it.

Sincerely thank you for reacting Love killa.This regular album is called "Fatal love". I highly recommend all the songs in it, especially there are 4 songs written by members. Among them, "Nobody Else" is the first time that Hyungwon has a self-composed song included in the album.I hope you can listen to this album and enjoy to it.

They make the choreography seem easy because they dance with flavor and soul. The amount of artistry and what they bring in the industry is ah-mazing and true to their color ❤
I LOVED your reactions to this MV and dance practice. I especially loved your question of "Why is I.M. the maknae?" because, YES! Why IS he the maknae!? He sure doesn't look or act like it, lol! He is not my bias, but he and Hyungwon love to wreck me on the daily. This choreo is fun, yet challenging because it shifts from dancing with the melody to dancing with the instrumental track and then, at the very end, dancing with both the melody and the instrumental so you are literally dancing with every beat and word in the song at the same time. It really adds texture and dynamic to the choreography.
Fun little reason for you to go back and watch the ending again: Right after the last chorus (you know, with the body rolls), just before I.M. says "Hush, Hush", Shownu sneaks in a little shoulder shimmy after the pose strike. He is pretty much the only member to do it, but he doesn't it in just about every performance.

I would like to recommend their title track called "ALLIGATOR", this track deserve more hype, even inside the fandom it's most likely to be the least favorite song... but for me it's my top fave title track from them, the song structure was great, the choreography is top tier, and even the MV is one of my favorite.
