Im reading some of these comments like "is it because of us? doesnt he like us anymore" No.. i dont think thats it. he always expresses how appreciative he is of us. But its natural. they were all new to this life and so excited. Now they're a bit older and you're not as excited anymore. or you are but u just dont express it. it has become his normal. I mean i am not even in the industry and I know that I used to smile a lot more when I was younger. I was more carefree and just overall excited about everything. But you get calmer as you grow and a bit less goofy. Its part of growing up.
if i ever get the chance to meet him, which will never happen, I wouldn't care about taking a selfie I just want him to smile. I want to see that smile that I fell in love with again so I can fall in love all over again. To be honest, I think he's much happier now... You can tell he loves doing what he does now. And I think this break came just in the right time for all of the boys. I mean they were all so happy in the band, even zayn said they were all 5 best friends and they could tell each other anything. They still can they just don’t know that yet. This is probably their managements fault because they were too hard on them when they were just kids, even Harry said that he wanted freedom during an interview.. and if I ever get the chance to meet Harry I wouldn’t do it for a picture, I would do it to try and make a conversation and ask him about his jokes and his albums and tell him how much he’s an inspiration to others, I would do that so I can see him smile and laugh and be happy. That’s what you should call a true fan that doesnt have pictures of them on their phone and a huge room full of posters and stuff, but to know that you care about them, you know when they are sad, and that you know they need company or a hug, not a picture or a signature. Seriously that’s all I want is to meet my idol so I can at least try and make him smile or laugh and feel comfortable because I or you helped him laugh or smile or cry tears of happiness. Yeah I absolutely love Harry's smile and it breaks my heart to see him sad or in pain. He has the most brilliant smile. It radiates warmth and light. And his laugh is so infectious and bright and full of life, it could make the most miserable person actually crack a smile. When he laughs it tears through the dark and just rips it to shreds and you are left so much lighter and happier. I don't want him to lose that. Never. The world would be a much darker place if that ever left us. It hasn't left completely though, but your right it has faded. Those rare occasions when it genuinely surfaces again are the most beautiful moments. I hate that the world is slowly ripping that away from him and from all of us. That should not happen. This is probably their managements fault because they were too hard on them when they were just kids, even Harry said that he wanted freedom during an interview.. and if I ever get the chance to meet Harry I wouldn’t do it for a picture, I would do it to try and make a conversation and ask him about his jokes and his albums and tell him how much he’s an inspiration to others, I would do that so I can see him smile and laugh and be happy. That’s what you should call a true fan that doesnt have pictures of them on their phone and a huge room full of posters and stuff, but to know that you care about them, you know when they are sad, and that you know they need company or a hug, not a picture or a signature. Seriously that’s all I want is to meet my idol so I can at least try and make him smile or laugh and feel comfortable because I or you helped him laugh or smile or cry tears of happiness. I’m a fan because I never met any other celeb who treats their fans the way one direction did, or act the way they did. I just hope harry knows and the whole one direction group knows how much we love and care about them and we know when they are upset.. we love them, and even though they are split up I’m still a directioner because I don’t give up on hope!

I can't stop crying. Harry's happiness is so important and i hope he will never lose it.
I think when he was younger, it was all new fresh and so exciting.... 5 years down the road, and he is tired and not always able to smile on command. But post hiatus, perhaps we may see a glimmer of old Harry, even though he is still as charismatic and kind as he always was.
Directioners, let's try to be the reason Harry smiles again. I can actually feel him whenever he is sad or happy or just any emotion . I know I m talking really weirdly and creepily but I feel especially him out of all the boys. The boys mean a lot to me and they have made me happy and my life many times more better. Yes, in a certain point you can see kind of a smile wanting to come back. But there is no show in which he doesn't ask to the audience if they went to see him and his incredible friends... and all due respect to his present musicians, but I don't think he's precisely talking about them... You literally killed me. I thought I was one of the few persons, that have been looked at the way Harry slowly lost his beautiful smile. Every time I see him taking photos with fans, and I see his expression, I don't feel happiness, joy and hope, I don't feel that sensations that he transmitted when he was younger. I feel just emptiness and silence. He is the reason I smile every day, and if he will continue to lose his happiness, how I can conserve mine?

Yeah I absolutely love Harry's smile and it breaks my heart to see him sad or in pain. He has the most brilliant smile. It radiates warmth and light. And his laugh is so infectious and bright and full of life, it could make the most miserable person actually crack a smile. When he laughs it tears through the dark and just rips it to shreds and you are left so much lighter and happier. I don't want him to lose that. Never. The world would be a much darker place if that ever left us. It hasn't left completely though, but your right it has faded. Those rare occasions when it genuinely surfaces again are the most beautiful moments. I hate that the world is slowly ripping that away from him and from all of us. That should not happen. The truly good and pure of heart should not be ripped to pieces by this world, but celebrated and revered and looked up to.
Tbh I don't really know how the boys would have handled another tour or if they didn't went on this hiatus. They were all so exhausted and overworked. Harry looks so much happier and well rested now. You can really tell how much he loves being on the stage now and touring, playing his songs. All the boys looks so happy and I couldn't be more proud of them
