I would think that working at Star Car would be a great job for me. I am fascinated by emergency lights and installation for some reason. I just love working on stuff and lights. Wish he had a company like that near my area. Great video Sirennet!
I wish you guys would make a "how to" section as its pertains to install tasks (examples: mounting lights in the headliner, proper wiring, setting up a power supply, installing the console, etc)
Very nice setup, I have 2015 police Tahoe and have a question on install of the Aux Plug. It's originally suppose to be in the center, but was taken out to put the vehicle console in. They gave me the wiring harness for the aux and said it was under the seat, but am having trouble locating same. I know this is a little out of the normal, but was curious if people during install knew or could help me? Thank you and if not no problem just been looking and asking with not much info.
Why do you mix red and blue so much? It's fine in the day, but a purple mess at night. It would be nice if the switch that dims the lights for night operation also could separate red from blue on the light bar and grille ions. I also think an amber warning bar would be good the rear. Have a couple of its lights flashing when the others are on, and have buttons to make directional patterns.
Thanks for the opportunity to watch the process of upfitting a vehicle for police service. How does one get involved with their local PD on a process like this? Do budgets have a play in the selection of equipment?
With the Setina PB450's and the NForce light-head's built into them... They are a set position in the top center cross bar and on the sides, there at about a 40 degree angle. For this Tahoe, it was preferred to have the (4) ION's in the grill to match the rest of the Fleet and to allow the NForce to be positioned as shown. This also gives a wider spacing between the center trio-color's and lowers them.
To install the antennas on this type of vehicle what's how do they drill from the top or bottom? I do see it's quite a big SUV and I wanted to install se NMO antennas on mine but wasn't sure what would be the best option to go.
The second Radio's microphone wasn't added at the time of filming. It's there now. The Radio's are tied into the main power distribution for power and tying into a timer module that let's them stay on after the ignition is turned off. It also offers voltage protection and keep's the Radio's from drawing down the battery.
Thanks for your patience. Setina unfortunately doesn't have a PB400 that will successfully fit the Escalade. With the front bumper and grill designs varying, the version for the Suburban or other Chevy application won't fit properly.
SIRENNET please I’m building an umbrella corporation research and respond truck. Will this setina push bumper mount on a 2016 Chevy Colorado. I need one ! I loved your video.

It could happened. We always love hearing input from our clients and followers. It's a great idea :) We'll be sure to pass this along. Thank you.
Yep, I'm looking to do an install and a how-to or even just a tips and tricks video would be nice

To try and tie into your Departments Vehicles, you'd want to get in touch with the Fleet Manager most likely.
Congratulations!
great video! always great to see the installation process. isn't the light bar a bit too short for this vehicle?
I wonder what made Happy Valley decide to grille mount their warning lights vs. purchasing the Setina pushbumper with them preinstalled

They drill through the top. The area is measured, marked, taped off, and then drilled.
Great video!
Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed watching :)
So why is there two radios and only one has a mic? Also why do you always install radios in the fuse board?

Do you guys think an crown Victoria is worth buying any more? Many have the motor ticking, or the transmission is slipping.
I wouldn't..
dtaylor331's neon blue Crew They are absolutely wonderful cars, if you get a good completely refurbished one or fix one up.
Would the Setina p400 work on a 2017 Escalade? They are pretty much the same chassis as the Chevy...
Hi Alex. We're checking with Setina and will let you know what they say.
SIRENNET Great thank you!

Do the LEO use the SSV for pursuit too?
The SSV Tahoe's do have pursuit ratings, so should the need arise... The 4x4 Tahoe is capable of doing so.
Nice
Thank You :)
I never understood how any department or agency found it a good idea to put lights in the grill when you have a pushbar on.
So is happy valley Oregon a happy valley in Oregon
It is :) It's a really pretty area and is just shy of an hour from Mt. Hood.
happy valley police haha
