I can relate to the welding slag burns mate! worst one i had was when i was welding in a patch panel for my dog legs and inner sil panel. I was right under the zed and a ball of slag went right into my ear... drum... riiiigghhhtt down in the ear canal... it was so loud, the fizzing as it melted into my skin/ear drum! And no amount of cotton bud tip prodding could get it out. Drove me nuts for around 2 weeks before i finally was able to dislodge it!!!! Camber plates look good. Personally i would have welded them to the top, just for the fact that it would make the car sit lower with the mount plate up higher. Rudi.
Wow that’s terrible. I feel lucky that has not happened to me. Also, because I welded on the bottom, I compensated for the 1/4in of plate when cutting my struts for the added height. So no issues there (:
