I play the transc.. of F.Tarrega and it does not says staccato on the Paso Doble Rhythmic intro.Playing it staccato is much easier than having to hold down the full value of the bass notes.I like both transcriptions, the one that you are playing is easier to express the melody because the harmony is easier (more open strings basses).The Tarrega one has a lot of bars and chords which demands finger stretching and that can cause left hand fatigue if not properly executed .Great lesson, I am a classical guitar instructor also and can appreciate a colleague's good work.At 3:08 I would have also suggested to mute the 4th string with the left hand 2nd finger instead of with the right hand i finger as an alternate way of muting. I also listen to your interpretation (the video you posted playing it) and I really like your sweet tone, very nice round and pleasant tone .You have one of the sweetest tones I have heard, keep it up young man.

What about the keeping the melody on the same string, in the first phrase? E on de 2nd string?
