Making a Diaper Wreath Baby Shower Gift (DIY, How to)

- Sharon makes a baby shower diaper wreath. A diaper wreath is a unique, easy to make gift that serves as a cute decoration at a baby shower and in baby’s nursery room. It takes up little space, as it can hang on a wall or door, and the diapers and additional decorations can later be used. Cute and practical!
Supplies used:
Walmart: pacifiers (MAM), diapers (15 size 2 Pampers), fish rattle (Nuby Rattle Pals), books (Grin & Grow), animal rattles (Grin & Grow), rubber bands
Michaels: wreath frame (Ashland small size), ribbon (Celebrate It)
Babies “R” Us: whale rattle (Carter’s), zebra plush blanket (Carter’s)
Buy Buy Baby: rattle socks (Waddle + Friends)

Very cute modern and fresh baby diaper wreath. I like that this looks fancy but also with affordable options for materials...I feel like tulle and ribbon have gotten so pricey these days...I am about to be a grandma and making things for the baby shower for the baby and Mother and I guess I am getting old seeing the high cost of diapers and material to make diaper wreaths and cakes ...lol

Thank you! I’ve never attempted to sell one, so I’m not sure what the value of the finished product might be. I also didn’t (though I should have!) track my expenses for making this one, but it often runs between $30 -$100 USD or more, depending on the individual items to be placed on the wreath. I would estimate this one was around $50 to make.

I don't think those diapers would be very sanitary for a baby. I hope nobody thinks they are okay to use.

Great but make sure that everything that you will use is clean to prevent allergy and irritation to the baby
@Hdz G Both are great points. I do think it's easier to reuse diapers from diaper cakes. Wreaths can be slightly trickier. I also see the side where some of us baby memorabilia hoarders might just stash the thing away forever, and look at it from time to time to relive those memories. Yes, please. Everyone, take the factors mentioned above into consideration. We all see and use things a little differently. Great points, though! Great discussion!

I’m sorry to say I don’t know. We only make them as gifts for friends and family. Etsy and eBay are probably two great places to try.
