The elegance of the 2nd empire. Thanks to this emperor Paris is the Paris we know today. His empress eugenie lived till after the 1st world war. So she saw the defeat of Germany.it was Germany who defeated her already very sick husband. He had stones in his bladder. Just imagine the beauty and the splendor of the Tuileries palace. That was destroyed by the Parisian ultra left .
