@@camel303 what's the worst that could happen, that the album disappoints me due to my personal preferences in music? I'm still not over Hollowed or Bodied, i'll take these records to my grave because they're so perfect. This goes into a different direction entirely and not sure how it goes into the full album sequence.
I'm sorry it made you guys sad that I made a nuanced comment about my disappointment. Like i'm really diggin some parts, but the bouncy, generic action movie club scene parts don't really work for me. Shh.

@@camel303 just to clarify, I didn't label this track as Trap, just made a remark regarding the beat / rhythm of the track (especially in the first half) which is incredibly reminiscent of the trappings of Trap music production and ''clichés'' (pun super duper intended here).
If Ital Tek went and used an Amen Break-like beat in this track, I could have said I'm not a fan of the Breakbeat rhythms in the track without necesarilly labelling the track itself as breakbeat ;)
Anyways,
We both know i'm gonna pre-order this anyways. I don't mind artists trying new things and taking me out of my comfort zone. I was a more or less a victim of my own expectations towards what I wanted to hear from a new Ital Tek track.
For what it's worth it's already growing on me (love the outro) and i'm sure the album will be great, and within the context of record this will all make sense.

Always the same style will become boring. Artists develop their sounds because of their ongoing artistic creativity, not because some old style fans maybe dont like their new style. Conservativity is for old people😉
@@camel303 Nah, conservativism is for people that know what works and/or already enjoy what they do. Without it, there would be no civilization because conservativism is stability.
I agree that it is cool he is changing his style, I just don't like how it sounds.
I look forward to when he combines his old and new styles to make something really cool and deep.
I think he should have created a whole new alias for this style.
'Hollowed' is a perfect name for his first album in the new style because it does sound very hollow.
