My late mother wore the tiara on her wedding day that her mother and her mother wore on there's. One of my sisters wore it on hers. The center part removed from the frame and could be either a pendant or worn as a brooch. I can remember her wearing it, as a brooch in her hair in 1968 ( I was 7).

Wow - I could only have dreamed of wearing such an exquisite piece of fine jewelry for my wedding! My tiara did not come from a jeweller, however my pearl necklace and pearl/diamond earrings were family antiques from Germany,. They've been in the family since 1922. ❤️
I have a custom tiara, but it's simple, yet breath taking. Sparkly, but not too flashy. I suggest taking into account the weight, and shape. I really love these. Simple and elegant that's the timeless look.
For my wedding to my now ex husband, my veil was attached to a pillbox style hat the came to a point in the front and center of my head. It was hand made because I couldn't afford a tiara although I wish I had one. Your daughter's tiara is lovely and suited her very well.

Ah, the Kokoshnik style tiara. Very popular today, mainly because the Imperial Russian aristocrats had a boatload of them made and then had to sell them all after fleeing the...five years of two less-than-peaceful revolutions and a civil war. They do tend to frame the face a bit better than the floating curlicues all front and center sort do.

These are good investments anyway if we are aiming for an heirloom, and the fact that they convert into other pieces of jewelry is a good touch. Imagine using the tiara to your wedding, and 25 to 50 years later, you wear it as the earings and necklace for the anniversary. If the family could afford it and it fits the wedding theme, then I'd say go for it.

For our wedding my wife had a tiara made for her (commissioned/made in Europa). She didn’t want a copy/ replica of an old hag’s tiara. She had one made to resemble a Spanish Peineta. It was expensive, but it was worth it. She looked beautiful. The tiara was complemented almost as much as she was. Salutations from, USA.

@@marial.rapaglia4041 I looked it up out of sheer curiosity - no, not a piñata. La peinata, it seems, is a very elaborate hair ornament with a comb to attach to an updo. Seems like flamenco dancers wear them? Type the word into your preferred search engine- there were pictures. Quite amazing, though not really my taste- but then, they wouldn't suit my looks anyway. 😉

1:11 Tiaras are for weddings... not only for Queens and Princesses, but for Brides, too.. As you can see from the selection of antique wedding tiaras... That was how the former PH First Lady Imelda Marcos got her collection of tiaras, by buying them from jewelry shops with their own personal funds!! Anyways, im here watching this again hahaha lol.. 😂😂

It depends upon who paid for it. If state money was used to purchase a piece, then the state owns it. If an individual family paid for it, even though it might be used at state occasions, then the family owns it (eg., the Spencer Family Tiara, or the York Family Tiara). If an individual family pays for a particular tiara, then why should the Queen own it?

I'm 55 and always wanted one. Well to be honest, I have a fascination, maybe obsession with jewelry since I was a little girl. I may not like a piece, but I do and respect the beauty and the art of the piece.
I wore a tiara for my first wedding. It was a cheap one. Good thing because the marriage didn't last. Years later, I found a sterling silver tiara with a garnet in the center online, handmade in England, and I bought it. Because I could. I guarantee it didn't cost tens of thousands of pounds, but it's precious metal, a genuine gemstone which happens to be my favorite, and I can wear it any damn time I want.
