This theme is iconic to my childhood. I spent countless hours playing through both Single Player and later on through LAN with my little brother, who died this past week. Rest In Peace, Taylor. (1992-2019) A big thank you to the creators of this game for giving me such memorable experiences. I can't even make it through this song without shedding a tear now.

This song and Diablo 1's Tristram theme are now legends in the gaming world. Both were in existence around the same time. I still got my ps1 copy of this game and its 2018 and ive had it for nearly 20 years now i think.
Diablo 1 and 2 had qualities beyond ds, but ds was great in it's own right. My perfect game? The gameplay from D1/D2/darkstone/Baldur's gate/fallout 1 combined... the atmosphere from all those games, the depth of story of fallout 1/torment and baldur's gate. character depth of gate and torment, lore taken from the best of all, and soundtrack... all the best from D1, BG, and Torment, combined with some of the ambient tracks from fallout 1 and the main theme of this. Man, that would be the best ever o.O
Skirge Now just add in some of the soundtrack and sheer magnitude and possibilities of might and magic 6 and 7, and we have a monster. IT'S ALIIIIIIVE :D
Take the simplicity of darkstone, the multiplayer of diablo 2, the graphics of WoW and the instant playability of Realm of the Mad God and you have perfection.

I love this feels, like a real fantasy adventure town. And to me the ghostly chiming sounds are the singing stones that protect the world calling you forth to save them!
Does anyone else feel like they wish they lived in the Lord of the rings or the medieval times because of this kind of music 🎶 🪈 one of my favorite games when I was a child sneaking in a game sesh because I wasn't aloud to go on my brother's PS1 lol 😂
I played the demo which was on a compilation CD from GOD games, along with other cool games that were coming out like Oni and Max Payne. Never ran into a retail version of this at the time, so I might finally play it fully soon.
I know this post is 3 years old, But the PSX version of the game had all the music directly on the CD in .wav format (at least on mine) playable on every cdradio :]
*700 Gold given to bards* Edit: that gold given number ranges somewhere in the 20 to 30k range now... I beat this game a lot recently only to lose all my gear when I hit restart instead of load so I have to start from the beginning since no gear can level to what I had but hey it is what it is.

This game was litty asf.i remember it being one of my greatest treasures.
Although Diablo 2 multiplayer was awesome, the sheer ease, simplicity and replayability made this a better game than it probably hoped of ever being.
