This is not the bass track that they kept for the record Th1rt3en. There are two versions of Sudden Death; one can be heard on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, while the other is found on Th1rt3en. David did record this, but on Th1rt3en you can hear his distinctive Jackson-played through-Hartke tone.
maybe james lomanzo the old bassist from endgame had already written the part and david just played it ..... i guess we just have to wait and see in the next album if he makes his parts like in rip or peace sells
@cd31247 Tbh James Lomenzo wrote the bass line, David is just throwing his little spin on it, so basically, David isn't really to blame since he's using James bass line at least that's what i've read, because apparently, this song was fully recorded in parts when James was still in the band, but then Ellefson came back so they got him to re-record the bass track, this is only what i've read though, I could be wrong.
im pretty sure this was not david ellefson that played this, i think it was that blonde dude with long hair. the one they recorded endgame and United Abominations with
@cd31247 I really didn't care for the song the first couple of listens, but then I started to like it a little more. Mustaine's voice was a little to "effected" and Ellefson switched from stainless steel strings to nickel, so he kinda lost that tone that everyone loved. As far as the bassline goes, there wasn't really much he could do with it. A lot of the song is just played on the open E string.

The track used on Guitar hero (this one) was from James Lomenzo´s bass. for the Thirteen album, Ellefson re record it with the jackson.

Fuck that is one crappy bass tone and he is one of my favourite bassist and he does nothing for this song like he use to on peace sells and RIP :/
Ellefson is a much better bassist than this, I am dissapointed in this honestly, and this song is very generic.
