    Totaly agree the landing net Is a very important piece of kit for sure,just looking at the back drop of your shed you look to have made the effort to get some insulation going on In there.I am sure your viewers would be interested In what you have done and your thoughts on if or how It has benefited your shed experience.Hopefully I have not missed this in a previous episode keep the videos coming nice work.I have the Tricast handle you mentioned on your other landing net video nice piece of kit had some really dodgy ones over the years but this ones stood the test of time.

    Totally agree Scot ,I always shop around and prefer to hold / handle the gear before I buy,and do try to keep the local tackle shops in buisness.

      Absolutely, without the local shops we'd be in trouble and swamped with cheap Chinese knock off's

    Nice honest review, I went for the middy muscle tech and I think it’s fantastic for the money

    Just crazy some of the landing net handles sizes and prices!
    Will have a look at this one. Seen a nice matrix too.

      Some are just insane price wise, this is very reasonable (£30 ish) for what your getting and quite light too but strong.....

    Hi Scott, I watched this video a couple of days ago and followed your link and bought the handle based on your recommendation. It has just arrived and I have had quick look and it feels good and well balanced. I am only a pleasure angler and struggle with the price of some of the handles recommended by other anglers on UA-cam, although I bet these expensive handles are quality I personally can’t justify that expense. Again I have not used the handle yet, but I know it will do the job I need, so thanks for the recommendation and keep on showing and evaluating more affordable equipment.

      Thanks James, glad to hear it helped you out, I'm not one for spending loads when I don't need to (Yorkshire lad through and through lol) I'll be doing more budget/mid range reviews etc soon.

      Ha ha! I was born on the right side of the hill over here in sunny Lancashire, but my son-in-law is a Yorkshire man with deep pockets 😜

    Middy seem to be making massive strades at keeping up with the top brands now and even making some better stuff than some of the top brands

    Horses for courses like you say. I would struggle with less than 4m due liking part of the pole behind me for balance. Also if you catch a pig with a bit of pull they don’t always play ball and come in close.

    Are these screw in type better than telescopic, also I'm still looking at landing nets , after a jack of all trades. Just starting getting into fishing, thanks

    • @Scottsalchemy
      @Scottsalchemy  Рік тому +1

      I'm not a fan of telescopic as they don't seem as strong as take apart ones and they have a tendency to get stuck, landing net wise depending on your venues a 20" should be enough to cover a lot of situations, this net should do the job for you amzn.to/3ARMPZy and one i use myself....
