Time Attack round 4 went to the beautiful Oulton Park circuit at the weekend. Set in lush parkland is a track that both challenges and excites the drivers with its complex bends, short and brutal straights, and lift-inducing crests. It's one of their favourites for sure, but, like a heavyweight cat amongst the pigeons, there was a one-hit-wonder looking to challenge the top Pro cars; Rio Wood in his ex-GTM Opel Astra. With a 'full-on' racecar would he beat the (heavily) modified road cars? His early pace looked very quick.

gsirich - do you mean road going stuff like an evo with a 80-100k engine, thats really road going you epic plumb, i know ric and i know a lot of the time attack lads and know how much money goes into some of them cars. that astra is as it came out of DTM many years ago, it only has three quarters of the power and is heavier than a lot of the time attack stuff

lol,fast but not really a developed roadcar .time attack used to be road legal stuff , is it still ,or just excuse for another money orientated wallet sport

This car entered as a One Hit Wonder, so was unable to gain a podium etc, nor did it effect any of the championship. It also finished 4th, with road going cars in front :D
