      I made the crockpot crack chicken yesterday, it was sooo good! I used boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts, turned out just fine.

    • @KatieMacYT
      @KatieMacYT 5 років тому

      Horton Who we loves thighs so I might try that!

    • @dmckinley9559
      @dmckinley9559 5 років тому

      @@KatieMacYT I used small package of thighs--had maybe 8-10 small thighs in it, the ratio compared to using two large chicken breasts seemed perfect. Enough sauce/season etc. Fed my family of two adults, two toddlers and a teenage boy perfectly with just enough leftover for hubby to make a sandwich for lunch. Also we didn't have it in sandwich, just on the plate so we probably ate more meat than just one sandwich worth each.

    You know what is awesome in spinach and cheese shells or manicotti or lasagna roll ups or lasagna? Prosciutto. Just chop it up and add to your spinach and cheese mix. It takes those things right over the top! :-)

    I've been craving beef stew for a while now. I guess I'm gonna have to make myself go buy the stuff for it cause you just made it so much worse, lol! Also, that manicotti looked so good! I didn't know you could cook it raw, I always saw where you had to cook the noodles first and then stuff then, and that's just too difficult. I'll definitely have to try that one, too!

    • @KristinStepp
      @KristinStepp  5 років тому

    • @KristinStepp

      Summer Dawn yep! I think that’s why the recipe calls for so much sauce, to make sure they are fully covered and cook all the way.

    You don't have to use Greek yogurt for that dough. In fact what he called for in the original recipe was just regular plain yogurt but not the non-fat kind. I make it with just plain Great Value yogurt. Just an FYI:-)

    I would never ever put Italian seasoning in my beef stew nor do I add it to goulash or use spaghetti sauce for goulash! It's a New England American creation not Italian and I can't eat it made with spaghetti sauce or Italian seasoning.
