I grew up figure skating and doing ballet and it’s so interesting seeing how you rehearsed the piece. In figure skating I barely counted at all, I just knew that each jump or spin lined up with a unique spot in the music. In ballet, we would learn a few 8-counts in a chunk using counts, and then we would rehearse it to music before learning the next phrase. Once we knew the whole piece, we never rehearsed just with counts, we always rehearsed to music. In general I didn’t count, I think I mainly danced according to when certain notes would happen in the music. I think the only time I memorized what happened on which count was when it was a particularly intricate move or there was a long pause that I needed to make sure I didn’t rush. Granted, I never got super far in either sport, so maybe I just had very chill coaches and it’s also possible that all of my peers were counting in their heads and I was the weirdo that didn’t count when I was dancing!
This was awesome, like a super-sized TikTok dance. We all think Ash can do anything, but you picked up that choreo like it was nothing and looked great doing so!
I always look forward to each and every video you put out. Just to let you know I subscribe to all of you. Started with Nile and as soon as each of you started your channels subscribed. Keep up the good work.
It's amazing to see the difference between a cheer and a gymnastics background. Jay is ... sharper? Idk...there's that little almost bounce at the end of the count. Ash doesn't hit the count as hard, I guess? Not saying one is better than the other...I've just never really noticed it as much before.
Joanna picks up choreography so fast! I would need way more run throughs to memorize all of that 🤯🙌
I was really impressed. Always wanted to see what Ash did in Cirque. Joanna’s cheerleading skills were perfect for the job. loved it! X
I LOVE Ellis' background noises and reactions lmao!!! Great work! Love you guys!
Joanna’s cheer counting was great for this! 😄

I would love to see you do it again but in full costume and makeup, think that would be so amazing to see.

I agree! It's really interesting to see those tiny little things!
