I heard that mcboot doesn’t work on 9xxxx models so do I have to install fortuna on my new memory card with dvdboot ????

Lets say u remove that usb or memory card after jailbreaking and put a ps2 disc and start the console will it boot normally with the ps2 intro and all?
If you are playing with an official disc, both should work. With a freeMCboot memory card plugged in, the original intro is replaced with the freeMCboot logo.

If your PS2 DVD laser is really worn out, or you are using something difficult to read like a dusty DVD+RW burned on high speed, it might take some time before uLaunchELF actually starts. Please try waiting 3 minutes or so.
as long as both your ps2 and pc dvd drive are in healthy working order I see no problem with 6x speed. Just remember that this exploit works for almost all slims but very few phat models.
@@MegaBitmap oh god I've been agonizing over this issue thanks for responding so quickly i recently got a silver slim that came with an mc boot card and found out that the Lazer was most likely never been used as the seller confirmed that he used the usb to play games.

I just checked the game compatibility list and other people have the same problem with cutscenes stuttering. Id recommend following my latest video on creating a smb network share using a Ethernet cable. it's a bit more complicated but once you have it all setup games load faster and overall run smoother.
USB is way to slow for FMV.... its only usb 1... not even 1.1!.. its much much nicer on a fat with network adapter and hdd.. (ethernet slightly faster than USB..but comes nowhere near hdd speeds..which are almost instant!)
@@dextrlobo That model should be compatible, I would try a different brand of DVD-R. Make sure your laser is clean and when you burn the Iso choose the slowest speed possible.

I would check to see if your ps2 is able to play a regular dvd movie. If it does not play the dvd then try cleaning your laser. If the dvd plays fine then I would try a different blank DVD, A high quality DVD-R is most likely to read. Blank CDs do not work with this exploit. Good luck!

Because your ps2 is a newer revision you will need to use FunTuna instead of FreeMCboot. MrMario2011 has a great guide on installing FunTuna

I'm solved that issue bro..... Just update opl to latest it's working.... Cutscene are very smooth now.... I'm playing pendrive even now...

It was put under BDM Start Mode. Set it to "Auto" then go to "Block Devices" and set USB to "On".
