Sorry Keith, I do like HEAT in my dishes, but most folks don't, so I leave it out. I'll try to add heat to it more often. Thanks for bringing me back to my roots!
first off its so nice too me to see someone actually cooking on a clean stove. so many of these cooking vidios have filthy stoves and I just turn them off. love your choice of spices ect. sounds very good and can't wait to try it.

I'll try to dig up some old family recipes for you that I never put on video. And yes, my wife does love my cooking. She's also a great cook and has done a few cooking videos on my channel and also cooked with me on camera. Good times!!!
Thanks for checking it out John, it was better than I expected. I will be making this one again, but think I'll add some cheese to the sauce to make it more cheesy.
Yeah, just leave out the shrooms and peas. It will still be tasty, after all it's the tuna and cheese that really make this dish a star. Thanks for checking it out!
Hey Souless, sometime in April I am going down to La. for JB's Spring Fling and will be staying with Sean. I'm sure we'll do a video or two while I'm there, so stayed tuned! Thanks for watching!!!!
This is some serious comfort food -- homemade and old school - nothing better. I have made this at least four times and it is sublime! Making again today from scratch! Well done - do the roux! Makes all the difference - skip that canned soup garbage! That isn't homemade! Thanks for sharing!
+Doone226 Glad I could help you out and I'm glad you discovered one of my older video recipes. The tuna casserole was delicious! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
I thought about adding some crab meat to it, but decided to keep it a simple tuna dish. I bet it would be great with crab in it too. Thanks for watching!
Looks great...got some in the oven right now. I usually add 4 coursely chopped hard boiled eggs in thd mix with some chopped green onion and like you, top it off with sharp shredded cheddar, but then cover that with a layer of fried onions. I sure need to try that sauce though...looks really good.
I was looking for a good Tuna Noodle Casserole recipe to make a Turkey Noodle Casserole so that I can use the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. This is a good recipe! I also added stuffing to my turkey casserole and I picked off all the meat from the carcass because you'd be surprised how much turkey that can be picked off the carcass. Thank you T-Roy!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe Cheryl. I hadn't thought about using leftover turkey for this recipe, so I appreciate you letting me know it worked out ok. Much love and thanks for watching!!!!! Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!!
Thanks Rus, I think I'll add about a cup of cheese directly to the bechamel sauce next time to make it taste more cheesy. It was some good tasting grub, just needed more salt/pepper. Thanks for watching!
That looks superb Troy. It's got all the goodness in one casserole. If only I could get my girl to eat peas and mushrooms lol. I guess I could mush them up or leave them out. Thanks mate
Wow, I forgot that I made this tuna casserole!!! Yes, it was very good and I hope you give it a try Jessica. Wishing you a wonderful Summer and thanks for watching!!! Cheers, Troy
hey man. im a mom. it is christtmas and made mine three days in advance and its all gone. so while i take the day to make the soup , im makin this . got all the stuff and its different from what i have seen done before. thanks
LOL. I was just about to give up on finding a decent recipe for tuna casserole. Then I happened on your channel. I remember back in the day when I was in junior high, and the cooks there made some kick ass tuna casserole. Back then they still made every thing from scratch, even in the school cafeteria. Your recipe looks spot on even down to the peas and elbow noodles, ha-ha. The only question I would have had, you answered at the end of the video. I was going to ask you if one can of tuna was enough?
Hey Anthony, glad you enjoyed the video! I made this just like my Mom made it when I was growing up. It brings back some fond memories of growing up. And yes, our school cafeteria cooks did everything from scratch also!!! Really tasty school lunches! I appreciate you watching!
hey troy, I actually watched your video after I made my tuna casserole. It's really uncanny how we do think alike, even the same comments about the dish. feels like home to me !! love you man !! see ya soon for the Spring Fling !! :)
Thank you very much Marie. Glad you enjoyed the video. I have thought about making Shepherd's pie, but the wife will not eat Lamb. Personally, I love Shepherd's pie!!! Thanks again!!!
I'm viewer 9889. I didn't make this to your exact specs. but it was a great inspiration. Thank you very much! I love your robin's egg blue tray decorated wall.
hey souless! me and troy will probably make another video or two when he comes down for j.b.'s spring fling...........I might have to twist his arm a little lol !!!
Looks tasty! But why do you make such a point of using unsalted butter and rhen add and add and add a lot of salt as you cook ingredients. Then, after each tasting and again when you plate it? Why not just use salted butter from the start?
Dang T-Roy that looks good; I will try this recipe out. But I have a question...What manufacturer makes that round casserole dish? I really need one of those...! It looks like a 3qt Corning casserole dish.
Definitely not your traditional tuna casserole, but it looks good! I'm with Keith, though on the cayenne, but you know I like me some heat! Great video!
You need to be sure and cook all of that delicious and not cheap food that you have mixed up! Just put it in a smaller oven proof dish. I wouldn’t even throw away cheap tuna, but you are using albacore and made from scratch sauce! Cook it all, and take the smaller one out a little early. Do not waste food! Thank you!
Ouch, yeah Jill, you will want to leave those out then. I'm not a fan of mushrooms, so I usually don't include them. Thanks again for the comments and for watching!
i am still waiting for u to put the cayenne pepper in-----im like, no, he really did not add any cayenne------from my point of view, yea another can of tuna and some cayenne, yum, yum,=====good lookin casserole there guy-----a good bechemel is a lot more better and healther than any cream of anything soup ,,, right on dude
Never judge a book by it’s cover. Your béchamel skill is great. I almost skipped over your video. I’m glad I didn’t. I also subscribed. You sound like Elvis.

Hi Lisa, red pepper flakes would work too. I would usually kick it up a bit, but for some reason forgot on this video. I like some heat too!
Agreed, needed cheese added to the Bechamel sauce. Otherwise, it was some fine eat'n. Thanks for checking it out Jason.
