Starting semi-abstract Underwater Series

Using a full sheet of watercolor paper I show the layering process. Starting with black marks and stabilo woodies I make random marks, adding acrylics, acrylic inks and watercolor pencils I continue to build layers wit direct painting and stenciling. When the full sheet is finished I cut into quarter sheets and then paint and underwater subject.

Love to see this layering process. Very interesting and attempting to start immediately oneself. ;-) I would like very much to see your background in a close up. Perhaps in the crazy about mixed media group?
