I'd hold off on the pre-order, not because we shouldn't support Warhorse Studios but because it's always better to buy it once it comes out so you can see it as it really is. No harm in waiting.

First one pulled no punches and stuck to there own style and gameplay and I loved it. I remember a bunch of meme gamers saying it was trash or were cheeseing the mechanics to cheat because they found it too hard but there IQs are as big as there shoe size. It's was made for a specific audience who respect history and want a hardcore experience. It you don't like it or are literally too stupid to understand the period it's representing, then don't play it. Find some other smooth brain, pandering, subscription services "game" to play. Germans, czech/Bohemians, slavs, romani and some other folks lived in the general area of Bohemia. Kuttenberg was a big part of the clash between the germans and the bohemians/Czech.

Filipina here. KCD is at the top of my list of favorite games. I’ve held on to hope that KCD2 would become a reality. Just about died when the reveal came out. I can’t wait to explore this world again, to continue Henry’s story. This game is highly anticipated among fans. I expect KCD2 will only add to the fan base, because how can it freaking not? It looks epic. All this woke nonsense sound like clanging cymbals to me, and they’re mostly online, so it’s easy to tune them out. I hope Warhorse stays based. I love their work and mostly love how they conduct themselves as game developers and how they interact with fans. All the crazies can consume all the woke stuff Hollywood and other game studios regurgitate. Leave KCD to us who love it for what it is and what it’s trying to do.
I've learned not to preorder anything. If they don't bend a knee after it's been out for a month that's when I'll buy it. No hate towards the devs, the first game is still one of my all time favorites, it's just that I have been burned by so many studios that I've previously placed a lot of trust into that I must take steps to ensure that this is impossible in the future.

I beg to differ on the point that there are no women fighting in KCD1. I seem to remember Theresa taking out 50 cumans Rambo style. Coming back to Skalitz, rescuing Henry's butt and then nursing him back to health. Theresa is the real hero of Kingdom Come Deliverance. Just saying.

Nah mate. Diversity makes total sense in the game as long as it's historically accurate and fits into the reality of the time. LGTBQ people have always existed as you know, but they had every incentive to keep their affairs private back in the day. Nobody is saying there should be a "Kuttenberg Pride" parade in KCD2. But to make the game a white pride fantasy world is not historically accurate either... it's typical of the far right to even bring up this topic more than half a year before the game is even released! It's not an issue. Have some faith in the devs to do it right. Meanwhile elsewhere on youtube, the rest of the fanbase is really excited and positive about the prospect of playing KCD2 before the end of the year. Hopefully Warhorse Studio doesn't bend the knee to the woke mob or got talked into doing so from Deep Silver, though there's a good chance that won't happen. Warhorse could do what Shift Up is doing with Stellar Blade, put out an uncompromised game meant for a real audience instead of the modern day audience and ESG investors, they did it with KCD 1 after all.

Even with them bitching about the lack of PoC in the first game, they did it very accurately. Not even by the lack of them, but even in the small details. I remember walking around the outside of a tavern and I caught the middle of a conversation. Some nobility was raving about his travels to one of the common folk and was talking about “Men with skin dark as coal, you wouldn’t believe it.” And the other guy was like “Pfft! You’re lying. No one exists that looks like that!” Literally using a throwaway conversation to detail the effect of not traveling or having these learning tools we have, being so ignorant to the world around them they can’t even conceive the existence of a black man.

Developers need to look at games like Hogwarts Legacy when making these games. We had the loud minority shouting boycott the game. The game was released and it was a massive seller. They need to make the game they want to make and ignore external noise. The quality of the game will speak for itself.

Well Embacer bough WH with knowledge, that Dan Vávra is the creative mind of the studio. And they understand that he has to be there, at least until his game will became failure. In 2K on Mafia series. (They started to poke nose into MII and even it was succes between players, it was finantional flop and studio almost shutted down. And they scarted his script to MIII and their version under new studio was absolute flop) CEO Martin Frývaldský confirmed they had absolute control on what they doing and they were only of just few studios that Embracer did not pushed restructualization and dismisal of some people. Actually they had to do intern restructualization from opposite reasons, because they recruited too much new peole and it started to be unmanagable by their old structure.

There was two genders, religion was very strong so much so that when a king said "I have been appointed by god" people believed him without question and that race and gender were given roles and that's how it was. @@Ste-_. Not everything in the game was completely realistic, not sure how historically accurate the Ledetchko butchers ghost story was. At the end of the day, this is a game based in historical surrounding and historic events but the quests and things you do yourself are fictional. I know I'm stating the obvious and that you of course know this but there it is. For Theresa to fight men in suits of armour and win you'd have to train her properly first, which you can do, but I'll wager that most people don't go through that exasperating process and just finish the DLC as quickly as possible, and that includes Theresa not fighting but rather using stealth when necessary. Which I think was the way the dev's intended the DLC to be played.
@@Ste-_. Have you even played that segment of the game? She is way weaker than Henry and in order to kill a man in armour you need to have luck, exploit their AI and sic your dog on them. And then you can only do that with one enemy at a time. The only time you see somebody maw down many armoured enemies with this character is after they leveled her by killing a lot of NPCs by using a lot of patience and cheesing

They have no power here. The first game showed that they were not needed, survived a rough launch, raked in lots of money and stuck to their guns in regards to historical accuracy. Hell, they even released a DLC named "A Woman's Lot". They held their line, were rewarded for it and now they are coming back even stronger with a deeply loved game.
Yes, "A Woman lot" DLC subvert my expectation, but in a good way. At first, I expected that I'll have an ability to create female character or something along those line. But no, it's not that, it's about how woman fight and survived in the context and environment of the middle age. At first I'm disappointed but then, it dawn on me that, it's in the middle age for christ sake, she can't hold a sword and go on a warpath like the games with woman protagonist. In a way, it's a good thing to 'woke' up to the 'reality'.

The Inquisitor was even shown to be somewhat reasonable, or at least not evil for the sake of being an inquisitor. They handled it truthfully, no sugar-coating at all, showing the truth of the hardships that women faced back then. That is what people loved about the game: The atmosphere and the history behind it. Now imagine if they went and just inserted a random openly lesbian black woman warrior that berated and talked down Henry at every turn. Most people would hate it because it would make no historical sense at all! A lesbian, black woman warrior can be a great character, within a history that makes sense for her and with proper writing, with realistic motivations and flaws, not arbitrarily inserted in a game set in the Middle ages within a region that had little contact with Sub-Saharan populace.

That's right! A Woman's Lot gave a favorable nod to women and their struggles in the 1400s. But the DLC still kept it realistic by imposing harsh limitations on Theresa like not being able to don heavy men's armor or effectively wield a sword (if I recall correctly). She CAN be leveled up with a bow, which is fair.
As a Czech person, let me tell you - there are next to no people of colour TODAY. The biggest ethnic minority these days are the Roma and they barely make for 2 % of the population. This sort of criticism is utterly ludicrous and outlandish to us here.
In KCD1 you have Czechs, Germans, Kipchaks and (can't remember) maybe some Hungarians. I do hope to see more diversity in the next game. What about Slovaks, for example? As part of the game is set in northern Bohemia, they could even bring in some folks from Silesia 😂. Romani groups haven't yet been around, but maybe they put an italian or french merchant in Kutná Hora.
Anyone who played the first game is extremely happy about the sequel being out (this year, no less). The only people upset for any reason are people who didn't play the first game, or know why we enjoy it so much. The team did a fantastic job with the first game and I have 100% faith in Vavra to make a masterpiece, which is historically accurate, again.
Well I didnt enjoy it for being more historically accurate than others, but because it was a good game. The only thing i really cared about were bows being overly represented, cause bows were not popular at that time in the HRE. I also dont get why ppl think its woke to force PoC in, cause at that time a village like Skalitz for example wouldnt be really attractive for migration tbh. Bigger Cities would be, or Places were imporant Trade routes were set up. Some ppl also ignore the game was diverse in its own setting. I loved KCD 1. I hope that they'll look into more appriopriate armour and clothes for that period. Wasn't bad, but could be so much more better.

Filipina here. KCD is at the top of my list of favorite games. I’ve held on to hope that KCD2 would become a reality. Just about died when the reveal came out. I can’t wait to explore this world again, to continue Henry’s story. This game is highly anticipated among fans. I expect KCD2 will only add to the fan base, because how can it freaking not? It looks epic. All this woke nonsense sound like clanging cymbals to me, and they’re mostly online, so it’s easy to tune them out. I hope Warhorse stays based. I love their work and mostly love how they conduct themselves as game developers and how they interact with fans. All the crazies can consume all the woke stuff Hollywood and other game studios regurgitate. Leave KCD to us who love it for what it is and what it’s trying to do.

I've learned not to preorder anything. If they don't bend a knee after it's been out for a month that's when I'll buy it. No hate towards the devs, the first game is still one of my all time favorites, it's just that I have been burned by so many studios that I've previously placed a lot of trust into that I must take steps to ensure that this is impossible in the future.

Nah mate. Diversity makes total sense in the game as long as it's historically accurate and fits into the reality of the time. LGTBQ people have always existed as you know, but they had every incentive to keep their affairs private back in the day. Nobody is saying there should be a "Kuttenberg Pride" parade in KCD2. But to make the game a white pride fantasy world is not historically accurate either... it's typical of the far right to even bring up this topic more than half a year before the game is even released! It's not an issue. Have some faith in the devs to do it right.

Even with them bitching about the lack of PoC in the first game, they did it very accurately. Not even by the lack of them, but even in the small details. Ghost of tsushima only had japanese and mongolians and no one had a problem…kcd is a great game, if it were fantasy where i create my own character id see the issue but it a realistic game following history.
they choose a time period to make a game where wokeness doesn't apply :) and they are pissed because they can"t revise it

These Woke people need to understand something... in the 15 century thing were VERY different from what they are today. There was two genders, religion was very strong so much so that when a king said "I have been appointed by god" people believed him without question and that race and gender were given roles and that's how it was. I know it hurts your feelings that this is a thing but it's true.
I'm all for inclusion, but hiking in Bohemia several times a year, I can attest there are even today next to none people of color. This isn't good or bad it just is.
Why would you want to add them there?
Have you ever ask people of color, if the want to be added historically inaccurate?
Or do they want to write their own stories, just like Bohemian people write their own story.
Lets start making games traditionally and historically set in Asia or Africa and change all the characters to Caucasian because they're not "inclusive enough" 🤣🤣. Use their stupid rules and logic against them.... or artist can have some balls like these guys and stand their ground.

The dlc about Theresa really shows how a strong medieval woman would be like. No need to be an invincibile Marvel super hero to save your people from evil, a strong willed woman can do much.
I don't get it. Wasn't Theresa's DLC very much woke, and not at all historically accurate? Yet everyone here who hates anything woke want KCD2 to be as much like KCD1 as possible?

@@Ste-_. Not everything in the game was completely realistic, not sure how historically accurate the Ledetchko butchers ghost story was. At the end of the day, this is a game based in historical surrounding and historic events but the quests and things you do yourself are fictional. I know I'm stating the obvious and that you of course know this but there it is.
For Theresa to fight men in suits of armour and win you'd have to train her properly first, which you can do, but I'll wager that most people don't go through that exasperating process and just finish the DLC as quickly as possible, and that includes Theresa not fighting but rather using stealth when necessary. Which I think was the way the dev's intended the DLC to be played.

@@Ste-_. Have you even played that segment of the game? She is way weaker than Henry and in order to kill a man in armour you need to have luck, exploit their AI and sic your dog on them. And then you can only do that with one enemy at a time. The only time you see somebody maw down many armoured enemies with this character is after they leveled her by killing a lot of NPCs by using a lot of patience and cheesing

They have no power here. The first game showed that they were not needed, survived a rough launch, raked in lots of money and stuck to their guns in regards to historical accuracy. Hell, they even released a DLC named "A Woman's Lot".
They held their line, were rewarded for it and now they are coming back even stronger with a deeply loved game.
Yes, "A Woman lot" DLC subvert my expectation, but in a good way. At first, I expected that I'll have an ability to create female character or something along those line. But no, it's not that, it's about how woman fight and survived in the context and environment of the middle age. At first I'm disappointed but then, it dawn on me that, it's in the middle age for christ sake, she can't hold a sword and go on a warpath like the games with woman protagonist. In a way, it's a good thing to 'woke' up to the 'reality'.
@@TadchaiSodtongkam My brother in Christ, the bad ending for the Johanka quests punched me in the guts. The Inquisitor was even shown to be somewhat reasonable, or at least not evil for the sake of being an inquisitor.
They handled it truthfully, no sugar-coating at all, showing the truth of the hardships that women faced back then. That is what people loved about the game: The atmosphere and the history behind it.
Now imagine if they went and just inserted a random openly lesbian black woman warrior that berated and talked down Henry at every turn. Most people would hate it because it would make no historical sense at all!
A lesbian, black woman warrior can be a great character, within a history that makes sense for her and with proper writing, with realistic motivations and flaws, not arbitrarily inserted in a game set in the Middle ages within a region that had little contact with Sub-Saharan populace.

That's right! A Woman's Lot gave a favorable nod to women and their struggles in the 1400s. But the DLC still kept it realistic by imposing harsh limitations on Theresa like not being able to don heavy men's armor or effectively wield a sword (if I recall correctly). She CAN be leveled up with a bow, which is fair.
As a Czech person, let me tell you - there are next to no people of colour TODAY. The biggest ethnic minority these days are the Roma and they barely make for 2 % of the population. This sort of criticism is utterly ludicrous and outlandish to us here.
In KCD1 you have Czechs, Germans, Kipchaks and (can't remember) maybe some Hungarians. I do hope to see more diversity in the next game. What about Slovaks, for example? As part of the game is set in northern Bohemia, they could even bring in some folks from Silesia 😂. Romani groups haven't yet been around, but maybe they put an italian or french merchant in Kutná Hora.

Anyone who played the first game is extremely happy about the sequel being out (this year, no less). The only people upset for any reason are people who didn't play the first game, or know why we enjoy it so much. The team did a fantastic job with the first game and I have 100% faith in Vavra to make a masterpiece, which is historically accurate, again.

Well I didnt enjoy it for being more historically accurate than others, but because it was a good game. The only thing i really cared about were bows being overly represented, cause bows were not popular at that time in the HRE. I also dont get why ppl think its woke to force PoC in, cause at that time a village like Skalitz for example wouldnt be really attractive for migration tbh. Bigger Cities would be, or Places were imporant Trade routes were set up.
Some ppl also ignore the game was diverse in its own setting. We have germans (Kuttenberg higher ups were aslo german at that time as far as i know), czech, some slavs, romani ppl, italians and so on.
We may see some muslims, but i think these would be either trader, or ppl with a nobility background.
