Ohhh how fun to meet Janet, and thanks for the tour of her wonderful art works and assemblages ~ what a talent she is!! I love her unique & quirky creations and have purchased a few of them ~ love them to bits!!! Ohh Aunt Cora's wallet is fabulous ❤❤❤
Janet’s art and home are wonderful. I agree with others I could spend hours in her home looking around. Of course I love all the vintage tins. I love the piece you bought.
@ 4:49 there was i believe an orb as your friend was showing the wallet, wow thats so cool , i don't know if you believe in that sort of thing, but i definitely felt the energy was associated with the wallet 🤔 i believe spirit is connected to most vintage items, love is the key, always 💞
I do believe in that sort of thing,in the Bible it says, they shall come down in circles of light,I heard a sermon on it,and sometimes, maybe it's just a dust particle too 😊
Such unique and inspiring art! I followed her on IG earlier on, when you had mentioned her before. I love the piece you purchased and I need to go check her site out again. I love the idea of the double sided swing frame. I have a couple and never thought of displaying something on the back side. Thanks for sharing!❤
What a treasure for the eyes! I own 3 pieces from Janet. There are several I already know I want.😂 She doesn't have these all in her Etsy shop. Girl, you need to get these in the shop for us to purchase.😮😂 Thank you so much, Corinna, for introducing Janet to us. Her work is amazing!🩷
amazing assemblages! i do assemblages as well but not to this level. truely inspirational. and her home looks just as creative. thank you Janet for letting us view your beautiful artwork and learning about your instagram page.
I bought a wonderful assemblage today in Tallahassee, FL at the American Vintage Market signed by Janet. I looked up her name & ended up here. Love her work!
You were right Janet is SO inspiring! Especially knowing she just started 20 years ago. My “stuff” collection started fairly recently, and my wheels are turning! I have mentioned before, I work at a ReStore. First thing I do when I get to work, is check the recycle pile and the dumpster to see if there are any treasures I can repurpose.
Thank you for coming over for a visit yesterday! I appreciate you doing this video for me ❤And I am happy that you let with a bag of old treasures!! I have more 😊
Such wonderful creations, here in the uk I rarely see things like this . I love Christmas Assemblage so I’m going to try making my own . Janet is so talented .x
I am gobsmacked as the British say!😯 I absolutely love everything Janet does, her assemblages, her collections, her decor, everything. Love, love, love.❤❤❤
There was a store my mom and I would visit when I was a little girl that sold similar sculptures. I had forgotten all about it until a 35+ year old core memory just popped through while I was watching this. Wow!
She has awesome assemblages too. Just a touch too busy for my taste, but interesting. I got some ideas from her. Love her mixture of art & plants. Magnets on tins good idea .
Tammy- I bought Janet’s “Jack of All Trades” and “Poppy” (porcelain lady w/Poppy seed packet). My husband’s name is Jack and his birthday is coming up. Of course it’s really for me.🥳. Janet
In the 1970s was probably my first exposure to assemblage projects of sorts. I remember here in the Kentucky Appalachian regions seeing ‘memory jugs’. Everyone knows that Kentuckians sure have a lot of empty jugs laying around. Museum curators came to the hills and backroads looking for ‘outsider artists’. I saw some dealers listing Boy Scout popsicle stick projects (lamps especially) as tramp art. Now, that is what I called, ‘desperate for a dollar$$’. The most creative things I see left in my Catholic area are bathtubs half buried in the ground sheltering and forming Grottoes for Mary. I guess they didn’t need one of those on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. LOL.
On the shelf by the fireplace she had a memory jug. I don’t know who made it. We’ve got the American visionary arts museum for all the cool “outsider” art.
Thanks for sharing this I follow her on Instagram from when you've mentioned her before. How do you choose one piece loved the one you chose. I'd love to have a go at something like this. The wallet was a great idea.

Thanks it was fun! What’s here web address to look at her collage items.
Parts2pieces.com. I believe she has 4 collages available
Could the magazine she sent her photo in to be ALTERED ART?
Well Cyndi at Mimi’s Treasure Cottage might know. That was her magazine.
I know! That’s why I thought about it. It looks like the stuff she had in her magazine.
Those were my first plunge into this art!
I still have my copies.
