Alhamdulillah I can’t put a price tag on the benefit of knowing Arabic. The most beloved thing to a Muslim is Allah and then his messenger ﷺ and if you can understand their words as they were revealed it absolutely changes everything.
Al-ajrumiyyah is the best to start when it comes to Al-Nahw or Arabic grammar And it is adopting the Kufan grammatical doctrine Because when it comes to Al-Naha or grammar in Arabic, there are two big schools which are Al-Basri school and Kufan school it is very good to understand the difference
No doubt but for a beginner it's best not to go into differences of opinion, but of course in general I think basri naho is much better as it goes along qiyaas a lot more and most of ibn his ham is basri and ibn Malik but they pick and choose as well for themselves
Mash shaa Allah, that was great, thanks. May Allah continue blessing you. I love to hear from how sisters can start this journey of becoming student of knowledge.
Don't waist time there focus on school and study with smart way ,don't give up even if you fell at end in shaa ALLAH you will be pass and you will be successul ,ameen/amean/amin yaa ALLAH !
Dear brother i was before at age 18 coming to egypt, ended up in eidadi . In total 5 years in egypt and just ended up in eidadi and sadly didnt achieve what i wished. Its been many years and i miss it :) im now 29 . Did smthing change ? Is it possible to register and come only for the imtihanat ? Before i finished because was missing eidadi a lot i and it was counted like missing days ..
May Allah reward you for your content brother, I have really benefited from it. However I find it hard to grasp as a non salafi, who respects the movement, why you refuse to include Asharis in Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamah when they have been regarded as part of it for over a thousand years. I get differences, but the overwhelming majority of the Ummah has been Ashari/Maturidi throughout our history.
It’s not a “you’re in” or “you’re out” thing. In many things they are from ahlu sunnah without a doubt and maybe even a majority of issue but there are a few major issues in aqeedah which in those issues we can’t say that they are from ahlu sunnah. Many salafis throw them out as a whole, but it’s more complex than that. The early versions of them you could easily say are from ahlu sunnah and the mistakes are around in some issues but not enough to pull them out, but later versions of these have come to logical conclusions in aqeedah that place them in a very different place than ahlu sunnah. But as far as individuals go they are Sunni ie from ahlu sunnah until proven otherwise and given the hujjah in a way that someone like them could understand. But that last part of “the overwhelming ummah..” actually most of the ummah doesn’t have a clue what they believe at a foundational level so to ascribe them to it is incorrect and also it’s not a majority of the actual population although these schools have been given major attention by the previous governments and awqaaf which made them more prevalent in the eyes of the people. InSha’Allahu I’ll address this in a later video. Wallahu aalam and we seek his refuge from extremes
@DaudBurke you're right about majority of people not having a clue I agree actually. I was referring to Ulema throughout history, rather than the leymen, Major one's like Hafiz Ibn Hajar, Imam Ghazali, Tahaawi and the many more we can name. May Allah guide us all to the Haqq, I am a fellow student of knowledge and request duas. Not here to debate or argue, but sometimes in the comments you get the hint from certain Salafis that Islam is only understood in Saudi/Qatar, everyone else is totally wrong and a deviant. It's that narrative that I find absurd. I am no expert in Aqeedah by the way, I just think not including the Ashari school under the banner of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamah is not right. May Allah guide us all to the Haqq. I do enjoy your videos prepping for Azhar, as that's the next step in my studies in sha Allah
inSha’Allahu I’ll do one for the first level of naho and sarf but the higher levels should be taken in Arabic as that is the best way to understand it and it should only be undertaken after being able to mostly understand Arabic spoken. And there are many explanations in Arabic for these readily available on UA-cam by real scholars of Arabic.
wa Aliekom Salam waRahmatullahi waBarakatuh They are ashari there so it’s important to study beforehand as one needs to be firmly rooted in the aqeedah of the salaf before going there. InSha’Allahu I’ll make a video about this in the future.
السلام عليكم If you learnt Arabic in Egypt, how long did it take you to reach fluency? And do you think 3 years is enough to reach native like fluency?
وعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلامُ ورَحْمةُ اللهِ وبَرَكاتُه It depends on the person but if someone is practicing speaking with natives, listening and reading a lot, then one year of hard work, could be enough to get the foundation, or maybe two-three to be fluent. Of course, Arabic is a huge language and memorizing every word in it is impossible. The goal is to be able to understand when someone is speaking it, and to be able to read easily and formulate thoughts in written and verbal form.
