Just came across your channel, really enjoying your videos. From your other video, I’d have been proud of those gutters and drainpipes too 😂 well done, doing an amazing job😊
When the second, inside, glazing is fitted, will the cat still have a window ledge to sit on as a vantage point? That lime is vicious when you slake it. Apparently good for disposing of bodies, should you ever have the need.
Hi mate, thanks for the video. We are in an old building with solid thick walls and considering using this to ensure breathability. Can you plaster directly onto the wood fibre or are you going to put plasterboard onto it?
Hey up, yes you can plaster straight over the woodfibre boards, ideal for your solid walls. I plaster over the boards in this vid: Abandoned Coach House Conversion: Plastering the Living Room ua-cam.com/video/34XDGtzdlZY/v-deo.html I’m being a bit experimental by slaking my own lime, if you don’t want the faff I’d highly recommend reaching out to Tim at Eden Hot Lime Mortar, he’s super helpful & will be able to supply everything you need. Good luck with it, Max

😂 The gutters were peak joy & still are to be fair. Glad you’re enjoying them & I appreciate the comments.
It is looking much more cosy
"probably should have done this outside maybe"... Meh
My sort of co-worker. It'll be fine mate, crack on... 🙂

Yes when it’s open & dependent on how inventive he is!
Good to know lol
Hi mate how thick was the wood fibre in terms of mm in the end? And most importantly does it make a difference and has it reduced the heating bills?
80mm & I I’m afraid don’t know about the heating bills as I’ve only been here a year.

I don't think the s3cond layer is needed. The walls need to breathe,
Still breathable with two layers
Need eye protection when mixing hot lime
Errr, please wear a mask when doing hot lime
