I’ve always loved this song, I think it’s one of Alan Menken’s best. I’m a pianist at Disneyland Paris and I’ve performed this song there many times. I'm excited to share my arrangement with you all! Gijs Van Winkelhof is a pianist and composer from the Netherlands. He's a graduate of the Utrecht University of the Arts. As a pianist, he’s performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and at Disneyland Paris.

@@gijspiano Originally the attraction did not have a song and was a little more dark in its tone. It never really due a huge crowd or following so the OLC (Oriental Land Company who own the TDR) decided a song might help the attraction. I first visited the TDR in October, 2001, six weeks after TDS opened and rode the original version many times. I do kind of prefer it in that I liked the darker tone, but that's just me. Besides that, "Compass of Your Heart" is a beautiful song and you do it superb justice here.

This is amazing. First time I've heard this song was from Disney Koe no Oujisama (vol 3 I believe?) and I feel in love with the song. I've been away from home for 5 years and this song reminds me that life is an adventure and to always look at the real important things in life whatever trials it throws at you.
I have never been to Disney Land. I moved to Florida this year so I'm hoping I could go to Orlando's Disney Resort. Does anyone know if this plays there? Also...I lowkey wish there's a karaoke version for this song. This song is just a good pick-me-up.
