As a nail tech of 12 years, those gel bottles behind the lamp are Wayyyyy to close to the light, light exposure over time cures the gels and makes them thick and hard to use if not impossible. For best results store gels out of the way in a dark room temp place.
Yeesss. Same here. I can't waste all that money at the nail salon. I do a lot of chrome and Korean Aurora nail art which would easily cost $175 plus tip for hands and toes every two weeks. I do my own lash extensions, hair extensions, color and nails. I save approximately $13,000 annually and use the extra money for investments.
I am so happy to see Sista’s saving their coins and doing their own nails. I started doing my own during the pandemic even my pedi. Saving money and no worries about nail fungus…
Ive been doing my own since I was 12 and I've never looked back. I love that the world is becoming a bit more DIY, everything is just too expensive these days
I went to the nail salon on Tuesday (they said 20% off Tuesdays.) So I ended up getting short basic French tips and she charged me $70…then she asked if I would like to leave a tip and I’m like sorry, I can’t. Then she told the lady who did my nails something in their language and she shook her head. They didn’t say thank you or anything. Just handed my receipt to me. The nails look decent, but for something so basic that will be grown out in 2 weeks; I can’t justify paying $70 (PLUS TIP)for. If nail techs expect a tip, they should make their nail prices back to $25 to $60 again! I’ll be doing my own nails for now on!
I do my own nails because after hundreds of dollars being spent and for the number of times I’ve walked out of a nail salon not getting what I asked for I do my own now too. These are very pretty. ♥️
I do my own polygel nails, tips with polygel, and even my own gel pedicures!❤ The nail salons were too expensive, here in Southern California. And I never liked 💯% how they would turn out! 😢No more talking about me in another language, or forcing bigger tips out of me! And my nails always usually turn out just the way I wanted. 🎉❤ And everything I bought was only $70! I used to spend over $100 on stiletto shaped, small/medium, tips with gel polish, no design, with designs, $15-$20 more! Spa Pedicure, with gel polish, $40, + tip of $5-$15!!!😢So I've saved sooooo much!!! 500+ clear, coffin Nail tips, 7 medium sized poly gels, drill, 100 sanding bands,5 different drill bits, 20 diffrent gel colors, 60 polygel forms, 2 top coats, 2 base coats, 1 mini uv/Led lamp, 1 full size Uv/Led lamp, four colored glitter, stickers, threads, 2 glue, one brush on, one squeeze, polygel application tool/brush, filing boards, alcohol wipes, acetone, nail cutters, etc.every nail tool you can imagine! Thank you Amazon, for having so many nail kits, and making them affordable!❤❤❤🎉🎉 💅🏿
I love that she has hairy knuckles! Mine are and so are my toes! I used to be insecure about it but as I’ve gotten older I could care less if you like it or not.
UA-cam REMOVED LINKS FROM SHORTS. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY FULL LENGTH VIDEOS❤okay love you, bye😂
When nail sets are starting to cost over $80 for short nails and basic color it’s time to start doing your own ! Thanks for sharing 😊
They came out very professionally
I love doin my own too. No one can ever get mine to stay on. Now. I have to physically remove them. They may not be perfect but they mine.

I learned how to make press ons last for a month, I will never go back😭
If you can’t freehand paint a French tip, they have those gel things your push your nail into to create it
Every since I been doing my own nails with Gel-X I never went back to a nail salon. 🙌🏾 I will go from time to time to get a pedicure though.

Just a tip. When doing french just pain it and use a gel brush to create ur smile line. Alot easier.
