- Not all superheroes wear capes. The four legged, furry friends of Bomba Malaysia's K9 unit are trained to conduct search and rescue missions, as well as assist in fire investigations.
The dogs assist in rescue missions for urban disasters, where they look for survivors who are buried under rubbles and such.
They also search for victims of drowning in open bodies of water such as rivers and lakes.
To top it off, these dogs are also able to sniff out accelerants to determine whether it was a case of arson.
Doggies are here to teach us n show by example what is total loyalty, selfless service n love. PLEASE treat our doggie friends with love n respect

When use these dogs for bomba, goverment must pay them wages also, besides these dogs must be given insurance, penchen, medical, proper home, good space for them etc. Like in other countries

I think the enclosure is in poor condition. The chain is too short, and seems like they are tied to the wall/floor the whole time except during training. I hope that those dogs will have a better space
I agree with you. They should be given a huge cage where they can roam around. They should not be tied that way.

The dog's are pity. They need better space and a better training place for them.they need a cage. I know is expensive but we must respect them.
Bomba should consider expanding the units... They have proven useful in SAR ops
Yes, I agree. After all, they will assist in places which we humans cannot track/trace.
I think for this Search and Rescue Team, the Government should consider using our own country STRAY DOGS.
For me, in SAR, dog breed does not matter. Train the stray dogs, their smartness is on par with any other dog breed.
This way, it could reduce our country STRAY DOGS, reduce cost for buying from other country and increase awareness.

Research should be done. There could be reason why certain breeds are used. But really great suggestion, should be looked into this.
Actually certain breeds are better to train. Most K9 dogs are bought from China when theyre young bcs easier to train
Not every breed suitable for these kinda job . German shepherd and doberman are the popular choice as k9. You can't expect golden retriever to chase someone down , sure with proper training they could but there are other breed that are more suitable

These dogs are small and cute. So different from police K9.
These is not Attack Dog. The police one use specially for tactical purpose meanwhile Bomba use for search find and reascue. Haiya makcik

Use stray dog..dog can be trained and they will become really good no matter what breed is.
As much as i like dogs, i dont think stray dogs at the same level with these k9..these are special breed that have been trained from generations..they are expensive for a reason
The cage need to be big too.and the leash is so short.
On all the aspects of these trained dogs, do you noticed that the place condition, leash/chain length used and dog behavior is not right. The dog keep circling around him. The chain toooooooo short. The place condition like it's at abandoned place.. This is so sad.. You trainin them, not torturin them...

K9 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Wow, cover the whole West Malaysia? It is not enough. New YB Menteri Perumahan & Kerajaan Tempatan better looks into this problem seriously.Maybe it should be one team cover the North & one team cover the South of West Malaysia.

Yes have units for south and north..in peninsular and another one that can be mobile for Sabah and Sarawak as support... Tragedy will occur more as climate change.

anjing jalanan tak boleh ambil dan dilatih ke ???
actually boleh tu. most stray dogs pernah ada tuan, cuma ada tuan dorg tu tidak jaga baik2. anjing senang diajar drpd kucing. saya feed stray dogs sepuluh tahun tak pernah kena gigit kecuali dari anjing yg sedang sakit terutama yg kena langgar kreta/lori. atau mama dog yg sangka saya nak sakitkan anak2 dialah. kucing2 yg sa pelihara pun ambi dari tepi jalan yg sakit2 atau baby yg dibuang.
