Fossil can enforce a very easy clean sabrina counter, 100% use fossil in charizard deck. So many games where you can let Moltres go, discard the fossil and easily win with Charizard.
Ive had fun playing an Arcanine deck with 1 Butterfree evo line. You don't even have to run grass energy as Butterfree is just there to sit in the bench and using its ability ti offset the 20 self damage Arcanine does. Ofx like any 2 stage pokemon you can brick, however Nutterfree is more of a bonus and Arcanine does fine without it (but Butterfree can also help keep Arcanine above some break points)
@@christianabruzzo6632 Not even close, the entire strategy is so fragile. If you perfectly top deck you can pop off, but even then you have to pray to get Fossil on time or instantly lose to Sabrina or to Pikachu or Starmie players with okay luck. Extreme inconsistency inherent to stage 2 Evos, combined with super low tempo and easily disruptable.
just switch to literally anything else and you’ll see the difference lmao. It was my first deck as well but I switched to better decks. Just tried it again yesterday and Charizard got onfield like 3/10 games 😂
I think Charizard EX is the best "big" setup deck. It beats every other big setup monster: Mewtwo, Venusaur, Dragonite, etc. But like any deck with Stage 2 Pokemon, sometimes you can just get brick draws. Or both your Charizard/Charmeleon are on the bottom of the deck. Or you draw Charmander and no other Pokemon or Pokeballs for 3 turns. Mewtwo at least is a Basic Pokemon, but it does rely on the Stage 2 Gardevoir to be "god" tier. If you get a good draw though, and decent rolls, it can even beat aggressive decks like Starmie/Pikachu. And you'll easily beat the aforementioned big decks with a good draw.
The fact they release three theme packs per set "mewtwo, charizard, Pikachu" id like them to do the good ol pokemon trio groups: Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza. Suicuine, Reikou, Entei, kyrum zekrom reshiram, it could just go on forever or like tapu series, and tapu koko could have an ability that mimics electric terrain in which electric pokemon do more damage or something
Yeah I never understood the fossil for sabrina "counter" because I use my sabrina at a time when it's smart to use it and that 1 free point is probably the point I need to win, and not like I only have 1 sabrina...
Fossils aren't meant for every deck, but its 100% meant for a Charlizard deck. It only works on decks that are extremely vulnerable to Sabrina. You don't want the enemy to Sabrina into your win condition Charmander or Charmeleon with 2 retreat cost because that loses the game on the spot. Fossils gives you a chance to fight back by being a substitute. Fossils can also be discarded while on the field (even on active), acting as a free retreat like Koga so tempo Sabrina doesnt work, or just so that it can no longer get killed when the opponent is on 2 points. But yes I agree you don't just go putting fossils everywhere as a "sabrina counter". It all depends on the deck you're building.
@@faireststar are the 2 free retreats (discards) despite having x speed in your deck better than having a real money? Maybe something like a heatmor which is 1 star retreat and 30 damage in case you need it.
@@perfectsid333 The thing about fossil is that you cannot pokeball into it. You don't want to pokeball into Heatmor, you want to pokeball into Moltres or Charmander. Also ideally you want to save your xspeed for your moltres or swapping charmander out at turn 1. Charlizard is a very energy hungry deck. Also you can find one of the three fossils in any booster pack. Its not hard to pull.
Im a fan of just one meowth for the additional draws to find your Charzard line/Sabrina portection just juggle your bench till you have Charzard setup and go sweep
I have seen some people are putting rapidash and kanga in and taking moltres out. Its a little slower but you have some tanky 1 point mons that can attack for 1 energy. From what I have seen it seems more consistent then the moltres build.
Ooooh thanks dude! I have been so bummed I couldn't pull a second Moltres ex but I have everything I could need for any fire deck. This is a good idea I'ma try it!
Its simple, you run a stage 2 deck? Run fossil. Also, any stage 2 deck aren't good ATM. Goes for alakazam, Dragonite, Charizard, etc. The game is plagued with RNG ATM, good decks are able to eliminate as much of the rng as possible, and you call that consistency. Pikaex is the most consistent deck atm, they need to add a way to search a random stage 1/2, and maybe then these decks can be less about luck and more consistent.
Yeah I like Stage 2 Pokemon, but they are at an inherent disadvantage against aggressive decks that rely more on Basic Pokemon and no setup. Simply due to higher chance of inconsistency from bad draws.

there is no way this man just called my only competitive deck " B tier " 😭
Their whole tierlist is out of touch. Charizard is A tier

I’ve been running 2 arcanine 1 ninetails with a moltres and staples. Feels good.

Tricky Gym did a great video on the fossils
Happy to see fun decks here
good deck against slow decks

Possible to compete against starmie- articuno decks with this? Or against Pikachu?

What is the qr code showed for?
I’d try at least one Aerodactyl in exchange for a potion. Saves your butt sometimes
Can you do a deck tier list video and explain why
Whats the website to play in pc
Fossil tech works better early game late game not so much

From what I've seen online there's a card called "Great Ball" which summons stage 1 cards from the deck so that would help stage 2 lists

Centiscorch better 🥱
I don’t like how the game flips the other 2 coins for
You. You should be able to do all 3 yourself
It's been tested to be predetermined anyways so the current one is better to make the process faster.
You sound dum
look like trash
Same for me 🤣 I see my hand and I try to snap 😂 🫰
