It turned out great! Thanks so much for the shout outs! And big thanks for the feedback , I've beefed up the documentation and made it harder for people to ignore it exists 😂 I also added an option on my tindie store for a ribbon cable, this could be used with male headers soldered to the p-in connection as a similar work around to what Luni did. The cable Luni used is perfect but I could not find one at a cheap price. If people have any questions on the PCB please feel free to ask!
Constantly debugging "customer programming" (kit instructions) is part of the life of any kit supplier. And its great when a customer like bitluni shows you more ways to get it wrong. LOL. "Failure is always an option." And it was fun watching this bit of mis-execution. Thanks!
Always nice to see someone go into their deep inventory of "will do something with this someday" parts and finally use a part. Maybe there's hope for the rest of us! ;^) Also, congrats for achieving long int subscriber territory.
Glad it's not just me. I soldered the angled box header on the wrong edge of the board. I managed to de-solder all 16 pins, but not without mangling and melting the part. Waiting for my order of 25 2x8 box headers to arrive via eBay... :-/ Should have plenty of spares.
Great my brother! The involuntary touches of humor are the best x-) ... Never stop uploading videos, you are one of my favorite youtubers. Greetings from Argentina!
How are you getting a precise amount of subs on screen? I have made an Awtrix project and throuh youtube API it shows only with steps of a 100. Like 1100 1200 1300 etc.
The 32 bit joke was so funny, but so impossible to explain to my kid. "Well, you see, tiny mistakes lead to a disproportionate amount of frustration..."
Check out my GitHub (witnessmenow on GitHub) I have it done for a few APIs already (although most need to be updated to Arduino JSON V6) Instagram, twitter, instructables, Hacakaday.io are all done
Wow! Another great video stuffed with humour... I'm not quite sure if you made your mistakes on purpose, but regardless I really liked how you used them in this video. Oh... the counter is quite nice too! (Coincidentally I completed my very own Blough LED Matrix YT counter a week ago, but my lack of video skills gave me too much material to timely edit into a new upload...)
OMG I nearly spit out my drink when I heard the 2001 music and watched the count go to zero, oops, in this case LONGer is better. Thank you for keeping the fails in the video, we are all just humans. Keep broadcasting!!
I made that same mistake soldering up the V1.0.0 board. Unfortunately I don't have a desoldering gun and destroyed the 2x8 header. So had to make do with a pair of 8-pin female headers.
How about the scrolling matrix background. In the video you said that you removed it because it was not showing on camera.. But I would really like to have it back...is it included in de code? I don't see it....can you share?
@@steffenvongrabau7260 From the looks of it it might be anything from i3 to awesome wm. In most of the videos he is using windows, so he probably loaded up some random "hacker desktop" videos. On the big screen there is terminal running on desktop background (which is stupid imo) with icons on desktop (disgusting). So probably a riced version of mate wm. But look, no taskbar. Really this mess doesnt make any sense. You can make this easily with awesome wm or openbox with tint 2 taskbar only showing pager, not sure about desktop icons cause havent had them for years..
Quick question: you have a yield() the line before a delay(1000), does that actually do anything as surely the delay is returning control to the scheduler anyway? Cheers!
I'm wondering if there's any cooperative projects between other youtubers for one bigger project you can do/take part in, possibly helping out all the channels with subscribers.
Great content! keep going like that! I have a challenge for you, I've recently switched from lead acid to 12v LiFepo battery for my motorcycle and I'm struggling to find a proper 2 phase CC CV charger, so I'm wondering, is it possible to build one myself ? It will be great to see your video guide on that topic!!! bye!
I thought this will be a perfect clone of the LaMetric! But it's really just a nerd youtube subs counter. :( Could we somehow get a copy of the LaMetric?
that 16bit Overflow made it for me :D

Best Moment :D
Да! Меня тоже это улыбнуло!
Also concerned me the font size. Doesn't seem it will display 999,999
Lol. You're getting funnier and funnier! The content is top noch as always! Congrats for 0xFFFF subscribers!

Awesome awesome project Bitluni! Very funny too!!! Loved it.
I really loved that it plopped back to 0, well done on this project
16 bit overflow?!?! This is my kinda channel. Subbed!
Congrats on the milestone Bitluni!
Back to more soldering and building again i missed that a bit in your last videos. Keep it up
Marc Bolver
How do you have an icon in your youtube profile name ?!

Love it man! Awsome as always.
Most impressive. Great video.
Nice to see a new amazing project
Good job mate, love the way you present your videos

Wow it's actually cool to this tech in the hand for a DIYer, this is the same tech that's used in concert LED wall
Congratulations on your 2^16 = 0x10000 = 1000000000000000b subscribers!
The 32 bit joke was so funny, but so impossible to explain to my kid. "Well, you see, tiny mistakes lead to a disproportionate amount of frustration..."
I propose that youtube should buy your project and grand this as a new UA-camr medal! :D
cool, nerd level stuff thats actually useful. I like it
I thought it would not get any funnier, but 2:02 just left me dead 🤣😂🤣😂
That’s awesome, I wanna build one for other apis. Thanks mate

Great instructional video. Well done But hey...... your sense of humor is beyond imagination..... I really like it a lot :))))))
from april to now you have nearly doubbled it :D. 100k is comming up quick!
always love to watch these funny electronics videos...
Really nice! Fun project. Thank you!
this is your best video... love it ... keep it up ...
I love your videos ! you have a very good humor !
Gangnam style view count exceeds 32 bit. Now is 64 bit!
Let's have a faith that you'll have 128 bit!

May I know how to get a comma display to separate the thousand ?
The hacking scene was spot on. Time to conquer Hollywood! :)
Nice project! But why not use OTA, no need to open the case for a software change.
Excellent as usual!
You had me at "Nerd".. ❤😁
Well that's the hardest I've ever laughed at integer overflow.

How many power does it take to drive this LED matrix?

You're definitely crazy, but very entertaining! Thanks for the videos :-)
Why the convert 565 function?
Thanks.
Marc
And how about convert jpg to the matrix?
excellent job!
is it possible to do that with four matrix for a 128x128 total matrix ?
I've been watching great Scott for while, but i have to admit you f***ing entertained than him, keep it up dude
what do you do with thisdisplay now that you can't pull an exact number of subscribers anymore.
Please show me How to show the stock price in your project
Great video!!!
I'm cuban entusiast of electronics.
I wondering, how many cubans follow you?
We'll wait until 100k subscribers...
add the green matric animation in the background!
is it possible to convert the code so that the panel shows the bitcoin rate?
What if you make a 10×15 sqft wall of it.

So how well does it handle your current 6 digit subscriber count?
Hey Bitluni, could you build a split flap display (Fallblattanzeiger) für subscribers or anything else? :)
Won't go past 99999 with that font, unless you go to base 16 digits 😂.
Or hex :E
@@tbbw HEX == base 16
Hex seems to be par for the course nerdiness for this channel

On the long run (2 weeks for example) it seems like it helps. It's always good to just add it
I liked that music during your soldering scene.... Who was it? you?
will the number 100,000 fit or will you have to add a second display panel ?. great video and I enjoy your comedy :-)
RTFM! lol great video
buat matrix p5 ada bang ?

how i can use whit arduino and jinx matrix?
