Thanks, I'll try this. I forgot about that Destroyer option and all the parameters. Filters sound cool. Some of the settings sound like two sounds. The clean piano and the effects almost not melted together. Others sound blended. Maybe the Mix knob could integrate the effect more into the dry sound. I recently discovered the Strymon Sunset Distortion pedal and love it for synth analog bass, it's like adding a direct box for signal boost with distortion control. A little goes a long ways but it sounds amazing on synth bass like a minimoog os SE-1X bass timbre. I think you would dig it. I use the Sunset in single mode with the right side only on JFET dist. for this.
Great video!!!! may I ask, you seem to have an effects loop. how do you select which synth sound to send through it? how do you have things connected? thanks in advance!
Hello, thank you for your videos !! In a recording studio, would you recommand to use this pedal instead of a software plugin ? (It will be a live recording with a band)
The on-board FX on the Prophet 6 are great! Really great. However, there are only a few. ;) You can't get a really huge long, modulated reverb on the Prophet 6, thus an Eventide Space or Strymon Big Sky is a great addition to the sonic pallet of the synth. The "destroyer" mode on the Mobius is one of a kind, and you can't get anything like that from on-board FX on the Prophet. Note: when I use my pedal board, I mostly bypass all of the FX on the Prophet. I use the Prophet strictly as a synth (like the original Prophet V)) and have memorized what patches on my pedals sound good with various patches on my Prophet. At some point, getting a MIDI controller to send patch changes to all the pedals and synth would be a dream. But then that's another piece of gear to haul around and more programming!
Cool stuff :) Was wondering if you'd recommend the Mobius on a JX8P. I'm looking for a stereo filter with character that I can put envelopes and LFO's of to filter gate the sound. I'd like to not even use the jx8p's filter (which is it's weakest link- not a lot of sweet spot, good thing I have the programmer)
The filters are awesome on the Mobius. However, they're not sweepable. They are fixed. So if you're looking for a filter to replace the jx8p's filter, I'd recommend something like the MoogerFooger ladder filter pedal.
I was staring at your left hand durning Dusty Record and could swear that was tape wow from the other strymon. So good.. by the way are you going to release Dusty Record?
this is why I think VST's and other effects plugins are a waste of money. Though these hardware effects pedals arent cheap, they cover so much ground. One plugin could run $200 that does basically one thing, while the Strymon boxes are so deep.
very nice analog sounds and playing, J3P0
thanks! :)
Strymon needs to release a standalone Destroyer pedal :(
Sweet demo, really nice sounds and playing!
There’s a fine line with pitch modulation between subtle lofi goodness and sounding like those pitch shifted memes lol “bAcK uP teRrY”
Beautiful playing!
You opened my mind to use guitar pedals on my pianos. What a trip. I bought this thing and the electro harmonix pitch shift, can’t wait
Excellent video, thanks for posting, much appreciated : )

@J3P0 When are you going to make loops? Like you have amazing sound for piano, synths!!!!
Dang, taking me to back to bioshock at the end there
Mygod! This thing is insane!
Dope man ! btw I bought this pedal bc of this vid. Peace and Love
excellent
Can you please explain the pedals connections? Is the Mobius connected to the other Strymon stereo pedal?
How come the background noise is so big?
I’m saving up for one now 😀

thanks for sharing!!!
Is that the same lo-fi algorithm that's on the Timeline?

Curious to see how you utilize the mobius and other pedals with the prophet since it already has built in effect

@@j3po784 Sonic Palet, loved that !
So strong beat
Is this what those dope new patches for the stage 3 are based off?
yes ! :)

please do a music theory tutorial
Bro, did you went to a conservatory? 🤔

using the destroyer algorithm on both pedals for that track! We might release the 5 tunes EP from that session! ;)
Excuse me, Which preset do you used?
Hey have you tried the auto swell mode on the Rhodes sound it’s epic
Yes! I use it all the time. Great for faux-side-chainy vibes! :)
Great :)

You just sold a lot of pedals...
