I tested out the capacity of this solar power bank. Solar power banks appears at first to be able to charge itself with the sun but the size of the panels are generally very under powered and will take 4-7 days of full sun to charge this particular power bank. Still, it is very useful for emergency purposes so that you can eek out a little juice to make a phone call or two. Enough for emergency purposes.
Aside from this, you would use this as a regular power bank with USBC and Lightning charging options and USBA/C output options. It even has a Qi wireless charger for those wireless charging needs.
The solar input has a handy green light to show how much solar it is getting. The brighter it is, the more solar you are getting.

Don't think my solar bank is shade resistant. When i partially shade it the green light turns off.

In my opinion, it is nice to have it shade resistant but not necessary since the area is so small. Best to move it into a sunny area in an emergency.
