Can't speak on what was in Atlanta if you weren't there in the time. Gets old to hear people who moved to Atlanta for music in highschool speaking on on how there was no scene and it was just a country town. Half the hoods in Cali used to be the Suburbs just like every other city.💯

We should have implemented a 2 year rule. If you don't succeed in 2 years take your butt back home. It kills me when people move here and then criticize my city and state. I can't tell you how many arguments I've had .😂

Sorry, I can't agree with his mother selling a black owned business to work for someone else. He said he was moving to stay with his aunt so he was not going to live in Atlanta by himself. Maybe there were some issues regarding her restaurant. I think there is more to this story.

And she's still performing too. I learned that recently. I first heard her at 6 or 7. I had no idea of her name back then but remembered her face and the songs she led with Klymaxx. Mr. D.J. hit when I was 10. That was a banger. It still slaps!

(Dallas wanting to got to ATL, his Mother wanting to go with, his Mother selling the restaurant)
to get Dallas Austin to ATL and then to produce all the hits he produced!”
I absolutely orchestrated the future and success of Dallas Austin!”

Atlanta always had a music scene. From SOS Band to Shy D and Kilo. I was in TN and didn't think much of them as a music scene until Bobby Brown , LA and Babyface, and Keith Sweatt moved there. These were well established artist and they chose ATL over LA and NYC. Then I knew something was up in Atlanta.

I changed my name to Aesha in Elementary school because of that song. For about two years I would sign all of my school work with Aesha. My parents had to attend meetings with teachers, and all. But because I was a good student, outgoing with lots of friends, they let it slide. Until one day my mother was like "No more, I gave you a name and Aesha ain't it." SMH LOL 😁
