I've been running this headlight on my '17 Ultra Limited for two seasons now. My original HD Daymaker suffered catastrophic shatter failure at the hands of some bug with a death wish. I couldn't believe how much better this light is than the HD DM. 10 + 10 stars on this upgrade.
Kevin Hartman what's your opinion about this light compared to the 17 Ultra Limited DM light on dark curvy back roads? The DM cast a flat "airplane wing" left to right flat light, and leaves HUGE dark unlit spots at the 9 to 3 o'clock areas. Does this light fill those areas?
Just installed a pair of them twin peaks H.bars on my CVO , Now I can’t wait until Spring to use them..!! I’m down for a new Head light from Ciro I love that vision X lamp...
You will love those bars ...besides being super easy to pull wires in they are very comfortable. I may go another route on the road glide though...I rode one the other day with some cool bars on it and im considering that for the new build. The road glide will for sure get the Vision X in it...man that thing is unbelievably better than the cheapo I had.
Very well explained and this is my first upgrade on my 08 Ultra Classic , I can definitely do this and save some labor. Thanks again for a great video, got a new sub here !!
Thanks for the detailed video. I wish they would include the plug with the headlight though. Glad it is the offseason, but I really wanted to power this up.
at 1:21 "...there's a list of things that I've compiled as the top five things that super suck about stock Harleys..." Where is the list (of the other four)? I would love to hear your insight!
I have a headlight from truck mall and it is more shiny and quite frankly brighter than the Harley-Davidson brand by jw speaker. I think the good aftermarket headlight makers like he speaker, hogworkz, SUNPIE, and truck mall use a bigger chip in their led’s which make them brighter at a reduced cost. Weather two times or three times brighter ANYTHING is better than stock.
I installed the same on my electra. Works great, but up where I live in the mountains, we have a lot of sharp curbs and as you can see on your video(15.36) the light is like a "wing". So when you're in that curb you don't see a fu*ck where you want to go. For the rest it works great. About the price: if it costs more than 400 bucks from the retailer, he puts about 200 bucks in his pocket. That's not normal. Cheers from France. Great video man!
great video! on a different topic, We have a 2008 XL 1200 Nightster that we were thinking about looking for hard bags for. Do you have any options? TIA
Hi! Great video, very informative and clear footage. I have a 07 street glide the previous owner put an off brand china light on that doesn't fit properly with the stock bucket. I see you do not have one, is it necessary to have a headlight bucket and/or would i need to replace my stock one for this light set up. Thank you!
generally the bucket is part of your adjustment ring...you would have to look at that. If the heat finsd on the back of the LED light are hitting the bracket in the bucket you can snip out part of the bucket in the middle
Hey David...I really cant help much there man..I havent ran that headlight before..my opinion on moving headlights, and take this with a grain of salt bro as I could be wrong...I understand it on cars...2 headlights, 6 feet apart...still lighting up both side of the road...one headlight turning to the right, it adapts to the right...can you still see the left? We have deer and they dont really care which side of the road they cross on lol I could just never wrap my head around it on a bike..I really need to try one out to be honest

Hey terell...I have not tried that but Ciro makes a headlight bezel that has turn signals integrated into it ...the halo is just one light so im not sure you could use that as a left and right signal but you can with the bezel because it is two separate lights.
The headlight was a cheapo amazon headlight...and this thing blows it away...the design of the reflector and placement of the lights makes this one spread farther but still not blind oncoming traffic.
