Thank you! I know how to perform the operation L5 = L4 + 2. The problem I have is if I create a new list say A and B. I cannot perform A =B + 2 (it gives an error).
You have to specify that it's a list. One way is to go to LIST (2nd STAT). You should see your list B there. When you select it, it will put a small L beside it. Otherwise it thinks it's a Matrix called "B." I can make a quick video if it helps. Here is a screenshot: www.screencast.com/t/BbpZD7Tm2

When I press enter to put the residuals in L3 it gives me a "data type" error
Clear all of your lists (2nd + to access the "Mem"; then select 4:ClrAllLists). Then retry.
