Notes (Please Read): 1- This is a VERY high-end build as it's the fastest mapper in the game, hence, it's expensive 2- This build is neither tanky nor glass cannon, it uses the unique defensive interaction of (Petrified Blood + Dissolution Jewel), Captain Lance explained how it works in a video 3- sorry for mispronouncing Palsteron name in the video (lol)
NOTE: NIMIS WAS NERFED AND CAN NO LONGER SHOTGUN FIREBALL. I tried out both this build and Palsteron's version, making minor adjustments to accommodate for the v3.22 changes and personal playstyle. Spent a non-trivial amount of time and currency making it happen, even got the Mageblood for good measure. Here are my thoughts. This is by far the fastest mapping build I've ever played, it's almost laughable how fast it clears! Running fully juiced T16 8-mod corrupted Cemetery with Breach/Legion/Harvest takes about 2-3 min. However, sadly this is not a great bossing build because of the Nimis nerf. To explain, Nimis used to cause all projectiles to "return to you" as stated in the item description. This means Fireballs will fly out, return, and blow up at your feet (see Palsteron's video for detailed explanation). Now however, as shown in Phoenix's video, Nimis will cause projectiles to fly out, change direction to return, but then fly PAST & behind the character without exploding. This is absolutely massive since you can no longer "shotgun" fireballs. This means in boss fights, despite the billion projectiles on screen, each cast will disappointingly only hit the boss once. To get the shotgun effect, you'd need the boss to be standing next to a wall, which is super unreliable. Comparing this build to Palsteron's version, you definitely get a ton more damage Power stacking. Phoenix didn't mention Tattoos, but you can also Tattoo a large INT node for another +1 Max Power, and make up for any lacking resistances/spell suppress with small Tats. The trade for more damage is tankiness, I would argue that it leans much more into the "glass cannon" side of life. Dissolution of The Flesh + Petrified Blood is a cute combo, but feels bad since you have to "take no damage for 2 seconds", which is longer than one might think. Lastly, Phoenix called it out, but this build is NOT CHEAP, and the challenge it faces with Ubers with the Nimis nerf really takes away from the appeal. Even without the Mageblood, I still spent about 150-200 divines making it happen. The higher damage ceiling with power stacking helps a bit with Uber viability, but this is by no means a bossing build. Ultimately if I were to pick, I personally prefer Palsteron's version a bit more due to the better tankiness, cost efficiency, and overall QOL. But, if you just want to see stupidly high numbers, don't let me stop you from trying it out!
I wanted to do a build that used fireball but was told that dozens of people have theory crafted things and I can't come up with anything new. Nice to see this build.
ive just looked into the pob real quick and the first thing ive noticed is that you are not using any tattoo on 30 int node ( which cost 2 points to get to ) ive taken out crit multi and a small life node to get to it , you can have another maximum power charge with it and it adds up the full dps to go from 107 M to 118 M which i think is a nice increased since were buildind around those . Nice build overall ;) Cheers !
The dissolution of the flesh tech, do I need to activate herald of thunder BEFORE I open a map and then turn it off when I am inside the map for it to meet the conditions?
Hi - how does the single target damage work on this build? Am I thinking correctly that against bosses without any other enemies, only one of the Power Siphons will hit (twice due to Nimis), and of all the fireballs that the one hit procs CoC, only one of the fireballs will hit for damage (again twice due to Nimis), and won't explode if I have chain or pierce?
Nimis overrides the "one projectile per attack" rule allowing you to shotgun at close range, this is mentioned in one of the videos posted by GGG with creeping frost.
@@PhoenixLive_YT So I did watch the creeping frost video, but if my understanding is correct, the way that the shotgun works is that multiple explosions from creeping frost can hit the same enemy multiple times, not that the projectiles could. (Similar to how KB and LA could "shotgun" through the explosion, but not against a single boss with nothing around it.) This works since creeping frost explodes where you target, but for fireball, it will only explode at the end of the projectile's life, after all the pierce, chain, and fork is done. What this means is that if you have any pierce, fork, or chain, fireball will NOT explode on the boss on either the outbound or the return leg - you can see this in your video as well since none of the fireballs are exploding. (This was a nerf to Nimis in 3.21 - there is a post where MarkGGG explains this, but UA-cam won't let me post the link.) If you unallocate the pierce nodes and the chain ascendancy node, the fireballs will start exploding, but even then I think all except one will pass straight through the boss. Uber Maven has around 51M HP (46M if you discount culling), and the fireballs (according to the linked PoB) has about 700K damage each vs uber pinnacles - if all of them were shotgunning with 9 projectiles each and hitting twice, Maven would be dead in 4 casts (2 seconds at most, even without proc from return). I think what's happening is that the actual DPS is closer to 700K (single fireball per crit proc) x 2 (2 hits of fireball due to Nimis) x 4 (2 power siphons per second, 2 procs each due to Nimis) = 5.6M, which is why it took 8 seconds to kill Uber Maven at 6:31. (I did try the build, and the clear was indeed amazing.)
@DodamIh this doesn’t just apply to projectiles that explode, returning projectiles count as separate from the ones originally fired, add wall chain on top of that and you get multiple projectiles to hit the boss on their return “standing on top means that they all will hit”
Mageblood was not even part of the build originally, it was added as a Quality of Life upgrade, mostly to solve our mana problem (which can be solved in other ways), so yes overall this can be made cheaper, remove nimis for more concentrated damage at the cost of clearing.
What are the maximum number of procs you can get in single target? it looks like the attack rate is 4.15/s each cast can hit twice? so 8 fireball procs per second on 1 target?
I wanna Play this, but in a different version. I want to stay around 25-35 mil dps, and instead build it insanely tanky. Do you have any advice to make this immortal or very tanky?
No that's a really bad idea, it will push our mana cost reduction to beyond 100% preventing us from generating inspiration charges altogether making us lose 30% of our damage

Either before or after you enter the map, doesn't matter.
Phoenix the legend 👑
would this work for ice spear with herald of ice or would the lack of AoE not be worth the extra damage?
It works just fine thanks to chain, also single target is better.
How would u build it without mageblood? How to solve the mana issues?
You will have to take mana nodes and 5% reduced mana cost of skills on every jewel.

what level does this build need to get going and started? is one that can be played fom a lower level or needs like level 90 to function
