I've never considered a drybrush then wash over the top. The effect you get here is fantastic, and it's really simple to follow. I'm about to try it on my Bolt Action T-34's. By the way that Mastodon Heavy Walker is a BEAST!!!
I really love this technique of layered dry brushing. So much better than applying thin layers of paint to avoid streaks just to apply washes, pin washes and dry brushing just to get those details back. The only drawback I see is trying to apply a camo pattern this way. Maybe you could do video on that?
