- Hi Friends! (NOTE: TIME STAMPS included further down in this description for those interested in a specific thing.) Hi Friends! Due to the virus, the quilt shops in the small Missouri town of Hamilton had been shut down. May 3, 2021 they will reopen! Tonight we'll take you on a tour of the town which is near and dear to our hearts. We start with a quick visit to a craft fair and then on to the rest of Quilt Town USA. Through the 1900's, Hamilton was most famous for being the home of J.C. Penney and baseball hall-of-famer Zach "Buck" Wheat. However, in 2008 Missouri Star Quilt Company was born. Jenny Doan and her quilt tutorials helped to transform it into the Quilter's Disneyland that it is today. In this video, we share some of the most important things to make a visit to this small town a successful one. Transportation, recreation, and the RV park in Hamilton are all addressed. Sorry about taking so long to reply. We have been at Slow Momentum's meetup in Louisiana. We wish you could have been there. It was so much fun but the Verizon signal was so weak. By the way, I thought the same thing when I saw the bug and frog. lol
Got to stay at the rv park there 3 years ago. Very nice, really enjoyed it. Plan to hit the road again this summer (at last!) to escape the Southern Arizona heat and Hamilton is high on the list again. I’m now 71 and want to keep traveling while I can. Get lots of comments from people who can’t believe a woman can travel solo with a trailer but I’ve been camping all my life. Just because I’m alone now is no reason to stop doing what I love!
Have fun! If you haven't already found her, go to Box Van Dee's UA-cam channel. She is in her 80's, travels solo and had a stroke a few years back. I think you would enjoy her. We love southern Arizona (in the winter). ;) No reason to stop what you are doing! Thanks for watching!

@@marycato1258 We love finding hidden gems that very few people know about. :) It would also be great to find something that our quilting friends would enjoy. I used to live and work in Charleston, SC for a year. We plan to visit it and work our way down the coast toward Florida. However, plans can change so anything in SC is a possibliity. :) Thanks for helping!

Yes, we try to keep Kermit with us at all times. However, he is a bit of a camera hog. lol How restricted is Norway right now, if terms of letting people in or out of the country?
@@GrassRootsLiving We can travel abroad, but have to go in an expensive quarantine hotel when we return. The infection and entry quarantine lasts for 10 days, but can be shortened if you test negative on a PCR test taken no earlier than 7 days after arrival, or after the last contact with the person who is infected. Due to fast and strict rules from the start, we have only 750 people dead. The vaccination is well underway and a travel passport is being worked on for those who have been vaccinated. But most people have to holiday in their own country this summer.
