I believe John is a much better bassist than Lindsey has allowed for him sometimes. Christine has incredible melodies and a lovely voice. And I have to say, there's something hot about her too!

I have now played for 30 years and I still can't quite get the sound that John could put out. I agree with you that FM always had that strong backbone bass, constantly pounding. I love his playing in the song "Over my head"

If FM is known for anything its their deep bass sound. I actually think Lindsey's playing is so restrained, maybe too much so.
