This song just sounds like a 38-27 final featuring a pick-six early in the game for the team that won, a kickoff return TD for the losing team (punctuated with a Berman "all the way" call), and Tom Jackson saying how important it is to win the turnover battle when you're on the road against a beatable opponent
I recall hearing this a couple years back in the 2011 season on NFL Live replaying the Jets - Giants game where Victor Cruz got that 90+ yard TD reception! Good times
Also great for "Old QB making one last playoff run, with a slightly tattered sail, but comes up short in this key game. Not a backbreaker loss, but enough and now playoffs in doubt for a former SB fave." That first and last keyboard salvo just screams "QB/Coach hands on hips, looking up at the clock late knowing it got away from them"

A "sentimental" song usually reserved for an upset. They fittingly used this song for the 1995 Oilers/Browns after it was announced the Browns were moving.
I always remember this theme with the Redskins first game after 9/11 when they played the Kansas City Chiefs in Washington. The Redskins got blown out 45-13 that day but that was not the important thing.
Earlier that day, on Sunday NFL Countdown, Berman specifically cited NBC and the game postponement as the reason why he and TJ would get to go and relive the old Primetime style that night. So, yes, I have always thought it was because of NBC, not NFL Network.
Reminds me of seeing highlights of Green Bay and Boomer saying, “the frozen tundra of Lambeau field”.lol. Also, Buffalo at Orchard park and a blizzard is coming in with heavy snow.lol. Good times
Mark, at the 50 second mark of this Super Bowl 48 video, the song starts and I presume it's by David Robidoux but I can't find it anywhere else and I don't know the name of it. Do you?

Definitely a team fighting for a Wild Card spot.
And the losing team needing to win out + get this team to lose & that one to lose/tie to get in, lol
This was reserved for a pretty shocking upset. It usually ends with the QB of the losing team with his head in his hands.
+Mark Luhn so right lol
What about when the redskins blew out the falcons in 1991? They played this song
yup lol
🤣🤣🤣 so true
The second Miracle at the Meadowlands...FUCK.
This song just sounds like a 38-27 final featuring a pick-six early in the game for the team that won, a kickoff return TD for the losing team (punctuated with a Berman "all the way" call), and Tom Jackson saying how important it is to win the turnover battle when you're on the road against a beatable opponent
I remember this one used in a browns game in the mid 90s just after modell revealed his relocation plot....kind of set a somber mood....
I miss nfl primetime
Tell me about it :(
It's on again. But only for subscribers of ESPN+.
Sounds like "Street Fighter 2" for the Super Nintendo lol
Has that Sega Genesis sound for sure.
Cammy’s theme
@@waterloo1405 lol yeah that cheap sega genesis feeling to it lol
I recall hearing this a couple years back in the 2011 season on NFL Live replaying the Jets - Giants game where Victor Cruz got that 90+ yard TD reception! Good times
I wish this one was longer, because its a really good one.

"Let me tell you a story about a man named Brady"
A "sentimental" song usually reserved for an upset. They fittingly used this song for the 1995 Oilers/Browns after it was announced the Browns were moving.
"Look at that Little Meggett run..."
Did capcom make some of these themes? I swear they go great as mega man x themes
Agreed, but this one I would say more original mega man and not x, especially this one starting at 00:46
Before I saw this comment, I was going to say there's something that evokes Street Fighter here
Classic Cunningham era Eagles game music. How many Reggie White sacks were played to this song. E A G L E S EAGLES!!
Go eagles!!!
+Matt Hassan Go Bucs....who won that NFC Championship game? HOF Derrick Brooks and the Bucs did...is McFatty in the HOF?
+Stephen Unger Fuck your Bucs. The only bay that matters is the one that's Green.
you're just jelly because our average temperature is above -20 degrees in the winter
TargetToad 64 Joke's on you, I'm a Packers fan who lives in New Jersey. Also I like the cold.

all these songs were amazing
when i hear this song i feel like ive almost completed a mission of some sort
@Felonious405 True. I'm glad you enlightened me as to why they canceled it
Greatest of them all... thats saying something
I feel like I'm playing Mario Golf on Gamecube when I listen to this...
To me, this is the Bill Pidto highlight music.
the somebody just got they ass kicked bad song
Reminds me of seeing highlights of Green Bay and Boomer saying, “the frozen tundra of Lambeau field”.lol. Also, Buffalo at Orchard park and a blizzard is coming in with heavy snow.lol. Good times
Cool song
Best one ever!
My favorite too 9 years later LOL
When chad ochocinco caught a td from palmer only to get on his knees to cry for the lost of his fellow receiver henry
0:46,
That's GOOD...
this was for the last highlight of the night right before the snf game or during gameballs!
That's probably why I remember it so well...I'm a Bengals fan. lol
I close my eyes and imagine the Falcons losing a close home game in 1995
Brady vs Manning!
Deion Sanders INT Vs the Chargers in Week 15 brought me hear of the 1994 NFL Season
Deion Prime time Sanders int vs The Chargers is what i think of when this song come on
The best one
Sounds like something fresh out of a SNES Capcom game, like Mega Man.
Mark, at the 50 second mark of this Super Bowl 48 video, the song starts and I presume it's by David Robidoux but I can't find it anywhere else and I don't know the name of it. Do you?

1991 when Brett Favre threw multiple interceptions as a falcon, got crushed by the skins like 56-17
I remember Tom Jackson butchering his name. He was 0 for 4 with 2 INTs in a mop-up effort. Billy Joe Tolliver started the game....
Favre first throw as a pro was a pick 6
John G and his first ever completion was to himself

This one is really cool. Makes me think of Terminator.
This is usually for your 9-2 teams taking on a 6-5 team fighting for the last wild card spot
Actually I thought the old NFL Prime-time was done away with because NBC got Sunday Night Football and with that the rights for the longer, in-depth highlights for that traditional timeslot. I didn't think it had to do with NFL Network.

The horrible 2001 Buffalo Bills
sounds like Mega Man X
Reminds me of when Joe Montana destroyed the 49ers.
Did Kenji Inafune make this music?
They usually played this song for crap game highlights.
Go home and be a Football Man
