I want to add that Jack is a believer in God, which contrasts significantly with the idea of God between Baki and Yujiro. Since they are seen as God while Jack already has one which makes him the outside view in the story with the family issues. With him wanting to be the strongest while Baki was given the title a rematch between brothers would be awesome to be done in the future.
That is such an amazing point I never considered before, I so hope this gets more focus as the story goes on, and its just one more of the many ways Jack spits in the face of what Yujiro stands for, love it
Imagine if he could actually naturally grow muscles with his extreme will to get stronger and now increased height. If they made that possible for him then he may rival Yujiro and Baki since he was made with the demon back during a moment of hate and disgust.
Wow i hadn't even thought of that, so thats why there was a whole chapter in Baki Rahen about jack's connection to god... Silly that everyone thought it would mean that the angel back would make an appearance looking back on it lol

I always felt that Baki and Yujiro’s story had parallels to Greek mythology, specifically the Titanomachy. Yujiro can be seen as the Titans or old gods (Specifically Cronus in this case) whereas Baki can be seen as the Olympians or new gods (Specifically Zeus in this case). Baki ultimately takes the title of strongest creature from his father and ultimately ushers in a new era with him on top (much like Zeus ending his father’s reign and beginning the era of the Olympians). Also something kinda funny I noticed with this comparison is how Yujiro refers to Baki as a meal he wants to savour and in Greek mythology Cronus infamously ate his children (With the exception of Zeus who was saved by his mother, Rhea, which funnily enough creates another parallel as Emi protects Baki from being killed in his first fight with Yujiro).
I feel like Yuichiro is the only character that’s truly strong in this series. Why? He’s stronger than anyone else because he conquered himself. He doesn’t yearn for the approval of others, he doesn’t constantly go out of his way to assert, he doesn’t even seem to enjoy fights. No, he’s content with just living, and that’s why he’s truly strong.
Your interpretation of Yuijiro always bugged me, both because it's sound and also because it shouldn't be sound, so i pondered about it a lot and came to this conclusion, which of course is entirely personal: Yuijiro is the "God" of the Baki world, but he is not the peak of humanity, he is the peak of evil. Trying to explain this, it may get philosophical though: As you said in a previous video, the characteristic of Yuijiro is that he is completely unbound by any and all law and system that he breaks at will, and that being peak of the human form and being "God", he is completely outside any and all moral judgment, he cannot be placed on the moral spectrum. The point is, tha makes him the most heinous evil imaginable under every point of view. A code of law, being the hypothetical Natural Law, religion inspired law or a deal made between humans, is a code of conduct that people need to adhere to, no matter its origin. People are always inside a system of law: states have laws, mobs have codes, rebels have their own laws, terrorists respect a ideology and so on, no human is ever free of a system of law, either because they live in one, enforce one or try to rebel and change or destroy and remake one. Yuijiro, by being outside of this system, is automatically the most heinous villain humanity has ever seen, because he doesn't fight or interact with any laws or moral code, he ignores them. He lives outside, and by doing that, he is a unfathomable, impossible to understand abyss of evil, whose mind work so differently to ours that this makes him automatically the monster of the Baki universe. Even Oliva has love, fame, glory and adhere to what we can call human values or cares which Yuijiro ignores completely. His own motives and perception of reality is alien to us, which makes him the peak of evil, that only interact with the world around him for negative, selfish impulses and desires, nothing more, nothing less. If Yuijiro is God, then his nature is closer to Chtulu than the devil, because again, the devil rebelled against a magistrate, the holder of the law of reality, something Yuijiro is not trying to make.
this is great, I agree mostly with your point, but the word GOD for the eastern culture has a different connotation, I'm no expert, but gods over there sometimes were human, ascended from mortals to gods of their area by other people or rulers. I think this definition is more likely than that of a devil like in the biblical sense, there is no morality on godhood (as far as I understand it) for easterrn culture, and yuhiro, while he did mostly horrible things based on our morality, just behaved like a godlike bad person. he took everything since he had the strength to. A devil would do the worst things just to harm, no further goal. but he just grabbed whatever he wanted or squashed them like bugs for his entertainment, while it can be viewed as something evil to do, if you take away that moral compass, factually, he just did what he wanted. if anyone got hurt that's just stuif that happens. just my 2 cents.
This is an amazing point and I love your way of explaining it, I don't know if I'd personally use the word Evil to describe him though just as that brings morals into the discussion which Yujiro stands above, but the comparison to a eldritch Chutulu like god I hard agree on, I guess the term god means different things to so many people, Yujiro may have comparison to the Judeo-Christian god but also lots to the Buddha and Japanese gods (who themselves are quite often wicked in nature) so I think us all agreeing on things is never going to be easy, that said I love this comment and so sorry for taking so long to reply man
I'm sorry but whilst I can see you've put a lot of thoughts into this comment, you've started with the wrong assumption "he is not the peak of humanity, he is the peak of evil" this really doesn't makes sense as one does not negate the other. One could be the peak of humanity and also the peak of evil, actually there's a strange connection there if you wanna get philosophical. Just wanted to point that out, that makes the whole discussion kinda flawed to tbh but there are some good pointers as yujiro being above law and order, although it's not because he doesn't have a code he adheres to: yujiro does things just because he can, if he feels like it he just does it. That's why he tells oliva he'll never be truly free, always bound by the prison chose to live in.
I loved this. You actually made me appreciate the Ali Jr. stuff more. I felt the character was wasted potential. While I do still sort of feel that way, I can appreciate that what you said about Athlete vs Fighter mentality.
man i thought i had a deep understanding of baki, which i do, but you've explored concepts which i havent caught. Well i am a 17 year old anyway ig aahhaha. But this video made me realize even further that baki is pure unadulterated genius. All it is is that its harder to grasp because its more hidden in symbolism, other series are more direct with this hence why they are viewed as they are. Your video inspires me to open my mind EVEN further. Brilliant video i will remember it forever and cherish it. Yes i like baki that much.
Thanks man, yeah Baki has really helped me to appreciate the ideas in stories which aren't often so blatantly obvious, its only when you take the time to explore a story like Baki which on the surface seems so devoid of bigger themes and ideas that you realise just how intrinsic themes are to storytelling and how hard it really is to find a story that doesn't at least to some extent potray themes and messages, given the name of Baki and its style of storytelling I am sure there is tonnes of stuff I've missed or yet to notice so I too need to open my mind even further,
@@SephTheSinman i love you hahaha, ive been always for people like you, the very very least i can do is subscribe man to show any support that i can. Continue doing what you love not what the average set of people seem as trendy, thats what makes an influencer truly influence.
Baki's always been a series I really enjoyed and although theres many surface level series I enjoy, Baki always felt a little more deep to me, but honestly it was more the way the internet in general views Baki, you know that it is mindless action with no rhyme or reason that made me reread the series and really start to dissect it, so in part it was to prove this story I love from the bottom of my heart is actually well written and deserving of the same respect as many other great mangas, but it also just comes down to my desire to pick apart the series that have moved me to find out why they impacted me in the way they did, not sure if that made any sense but that's just off the top of my head
@@SephTheSin nah I got it and honestly I love it, I really love the series & always thought there was more to it then just senseless fighting but I could never really put it into the proper words, first time I actually thought there was more to this madness was when Baki was fighting Jack & another was the katsumi vs pickle fight, I think that’s the most beautiful fight in the whole series for me
@@Trxpamvs Yeah its something I think I commented on in one of my Sukuna videos, both represnting the very essence of strenght in their verses, theres actually a whole video on the Baki inspirations in JJK that's realyl good but I can't for the life of me remember the channel name
What father, true father, doesn't want his son(s) to be strong, solid men. If you really look into Yojiro you will see that he molded Baki to be just that. Strong in mind, strong in spirit and strong physically.
I want to say that this is an amazing analysis and I really love this video. However, there is a pretty glaring error. In the death row prisoners arc section you just say "The deathrow inmates arc is all about defeat but the idea of defeat never really becomes particularly relevant to Baki." While it is true that Baki is not the one dealing defeats to the inmates, the idea of facing a defeat is absolutely relevant to Baki. After getting hit by the poison hand and realizing that he is dying, Baki takes Kozue to the Yasha Ape's cave and literally starts lamenting the fact that he is now facing the biggest defeat of his life. This is pretty significant because they were at the spot where Baki promised the Ape that he would never lose another fight. He even says that he feels he has betrayed that promise.
Honestly opinions are ok, theres still some that think baki is just fights but there is way more to it, same goes to Kengan Ashura/Omega, but people just look at the "top" of the iceberg and dont give it a chance or actually pay attention to the story in both franchises that are basically clones of each other but also have some differences too besides the peak artstyles respectively, as ahuge fan of both howevere I gotta admit they have seen better days, everyone in the fanbases would agree that kengan and baki used to be way better than what they are now in their stories/plot.
Oh shit. Someone finally said it. "Jack is strong for the same reason he's weak." And it's obviously not itagaki saying artificial means are worse. Clearly it has merit. He literally beat a bunch of other people that didnt use steroids. Jack just hasn't had the power of friendship guide his personal growth. He does now. Cool ark in rahen.
What if the reason yujiro killed a polar bear because he was becoming like yuchrio what if yuchrio did took advantage if yujiro mother and he took revenge
It is defo a possibility, I mean all we know about Yujiros mother is that she suffered immense trauma from seeing Yujiro when he was born and then went to live in a monastery, she regretted giving birth to Yujiro but its unclear if that's because of just Yujiro or maybe his father too
Hey we don't know what he does on his breaks...wait its Oda he's never not working, tbh if you look up pictures of the BBQs he throws there is certainly enough meat for even Luffy to enjoy
Jack will tap into his hanma blood and reveal his demon heart .. he will also defeat yujiro but almost kill him and Baki will interfere where they have an epic fight that Jack just walks away from cause it's a pointless fight cause Baki is not what fuels his fire

Criminal arc was start of the fall of Baki to me. Shame the Netflix series literally skips everything before it. It goes from "Baki, grappler, and his journey of self-discovery" to "lmao what random rejects can we have the core cast beat up this time"
Who the hell keeps giving Yujiro all these free helicopter rides where he jumps off comits some type of terrorist attack and then jumps back in the helicopter :D Can the dude btw teleport ? Because i dont think i never seen him even running and he always just shows up without a sound. Even to places where you literally couldnt be able to get in no other way that breaking concerete walls with your bare hands and that would make a sound for sure :D I always saw Yujiro as a global terrorist who bringed chaos to every place he ever went to. and kept killing innocent women and children as well as old men and martial artists, so no value for life either. If baki characters just would stop shooting at the ground and keeping speeches like, i have the gun you have bare fists what you gonna do about me, and then comes close with long range rifle or some stupid shit like that :D take a fucking double drum magazine give them SMG's and not those full barrel length rifles, and start moving him down once he leaps in the air he is staying still, but soldiers in baki keep shooting at the ground or to the place where Yujiro was :D
It's funny how negativity attracts attention.....I do believe you are being honest....but surely the fact that you got 25,000 views in 3 days for the last negative had an influence? Are you going to try the worst rated places now? 😂
"Yujiro is the strongest because doesn't every son see their father that way?" Brilliant

Great video. Thank you for your hard work. 💪
baki is a bloke, thanks for this video. stating whats not outspoken.
Thanks a lot for watching
What made you start thinking so deeply about Baki cause I love all the symbolism and metaphors you’ve picked up I’m gonna be honest I’ve need
@@SephTheSin nah I got it and honestly I love it, I really love the series & always thought there was more to it then just senseless fighting but I could never really put it into the proper words, first time I actually thought there was more to this madness was when Baki was fighting Jack & another was the katsumi vs pickle fight, I think that’s the most beautiful fight in the whole series for me
@@SephTheSin also your video just made me realize how similar Yujiro & Sukuna actually are in terms of portrayal & what they represent as a whole
@@Trxpamvs Yeah its something I think I commented on in one of my Sukuna videos, both represnting the very essence of strenght in their verses, theres actually a whole video on the Baki inspirations in JJK that's realyl good but I can't for the life of me remember the channel name
Baki is a bloke, good work.
Thanks for the support
BAKI IS A BLOKE!
I love how you broke down this series
Thanks, hope you enjoyed the video
What father, true father, doesn't want his son(s) to be strong, solid men. If you really look into Yojiro you will see that he molded Baki to be just that. Strong in mind, strong in spirit and strong physically.
Baki is a bloke, Amazing analysis
Thanks so much
I want to say that this is an amazing analysis and I really love this video. However, there is a pretty glaring error.
In the death row prisoners arc section you just say "The deathrow inmates arc is all about defeat but the idea of defeat never really becomes particularly relevant to Baki."
While it is true that Baki is not the one dealing defeats to the inmates, the idea of facing a defeat is absolutely relevant to Baki.
BAKI IS A BLOKE
Baki is a bloke❤
Honestly opinions are ok, theres still some that think baki is just fights but there is way more to it, same goes to Kengan Ashura/Omega, but people just look at the "top" of the iceberg and dont give it a chance or actually pay attention to the story in both franchises that are basically clones of each other but also have some differences too besides the peak artstyles respectively, as ahuge fan of both howevere I gotta admit they have seen better days, everyone in the fanbases would agree that kengan and baki used to be way better than what they are now in their stories/plot.
35:35 he doesn’t need the demon back since he got the steroid back!
Oh shit. Someone finally said it.
"Jack is strong for the same reason he's weak."
And it's obviously not itagaki saying artificial means are worse. Clearly it has merit. He literally beat a bunch of other people that didnt use steroids. Jack just hasn't had the power of friendship guide his personal growth. He does now. Cool ark in rahen.
Baki is a bloke . Baki is a goat
What if the reason yujiro killed a polar bear because he was becoming like yuchrio what if yuchrio did took advantage if yujiro mother and he took revenge
It is defo a possibility, I mean all we know about Yujiros mother is that she suffered immense trauma from seeing Yujiro when he was born and then went to live in a monastery, she regretted giving birth to Yujiro but its unclear if that's because of just Yujiro or maybe his father too
35:45 Morningstar?
Big strong hour
Wow you really need to fix your audio. There's so much background junk in there. I was wondering if anything else was playing in my browser.
1:06:32 yo when did oda go to a flying continent and fight Eminem
Hey we don't know what he does on his breaks...wait its Oda he's never not working, tbh if you look up pictures of the BBQs he throws there is certainly enough meat for even Luffy to enjoy
Baki is a Bloke 💪
Im sorry, the way Yujiro killed Baki's mom... There's no coming back from that.
I’m curious to see whether Baki can defeat the true strongest thing, the cycle of abuse
Great analysis, also, Baki is a bloke
Thanks, he certainly is
Jack will tap into his hanma blood and reveal his demon heart .. he will also defeat yujiro but almost kill him and Baki will interfere where they have an epic fight that Jack just walks away from cause it's a pointless fight cause Baki is not what fuels his fire
Does this mean i have to fight my dad when i become an adult?
Yes
baki is a bloke🗣️
I honestly think that anime gets a reputation for being shallow because of poor dubbing/translations
#baki is a bloke ps good job on this video
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it
Np I will u do next video all about biscuit Oliver please
@@chrisandthebobobobocrewgam8119 I do have a Video on the Unchained arc in the works so dw, not sure if it will be the next Baki vid since I'm also working on a Haneyama video but it will be out in the near future dw
Baki definitely a bloke
Thanks for watching
Baki is a bloke!!!
Baki the Bloker
the BLOKER
Baki is a Bloke
He is indeed
Criminal arc was start of the fall of Baki to me. Shame the Netflix series literally skips everything before it.
It goes from "Baki, grappler, and his journey of self-discovery" to "lmao what random rejects can we have the core cast beat up this time"
It's a lot more than people punching each other. There's also a lot of pee
Baki is a bloke 🤓
I am not a fighter.
BUT I THINK BAAKI IS A BLOKE
Yo
Who the hell keeps giving Yujiro all these free helicopter rides where he jumps off comits some type of terrorist attack and then jumps back in the helicopter :D Can the dude btw teleport ? Because i dont think i never seen him even running and he always just shows up without a sound. Even to places where you literally couldnt be able to get in no other way that breaking concerete walls with your bare hands and that would make a sound for sure :D
I always saw Yujiro as a global terrorist who bringed chaos to every place he ever went to. and kept killing innocent women and children as well as old men and martial artists, so no value for life either. If baki characters just would stop shooting at the ground and keeping speeches like, i have the gun you have bare fists what you gonna do about me, and then comes close with long range rifle or some stupid shit like that :D take a fucking double drum magazine give them SMG's and not those full barrel length rifles, and start moving him down once he leaps in the air he is staying still, but soldiers in baki keep shooting at the ground or to the place where Yujiro was :D
baki is a bloke.
The issue with this video is that you seem to take the pseudo Philo off the manga and buy it hook line and sinker

Thanks for the support nonetheless

Heretical garbage. people really need to stop joking about God. one day you will wish you had been more careful.
Good job judging people I'm sure God will love that
