Got this box on my 12th Birthday, still have it knocking about somewhere with a load of random RT era space Orks including Dreadnought, a really goofy looking war robot and the later plastic Ork boxed set, undercoated them all a few years ago to repaint but not got round to it yet
I brought 2 boxes back in the day, there was a different mix of ork troopers in each box, my 2nd box had mostly the caps, inspired me to go for a Africakorps theme, eventually repainted them, as nobody else ever based their models for desert boards. . EVERYTHING was goblin green based and all the games were played on the GW roll out grass mat.
@@SnakeWorksStudio I think it's cause I'm used to seeing orks with the manhole back armour and the hulking metal bits and pieces on them. The cloth makes me think of like a flak jacket or something.
Had a week to paint the box for launch day for the 40k book comeing out to do a game for the original birmingham store,great day gaming and talking about 40k,finished a squad of marines as well and was given the two boxes for free.
Love all the Oldhammer and Rogue Trader stuff! Would love to have that old box! I bought a few rogue trader-era Orks and chaos and finally starting to paint up the Orks for my Orktober video. Subbed!
I got this box in the Friday ad in the late 90's for a fiver, wish i knew where all that stuff went. It was such a deal even back then with GW prices and they could still be used in shop.
@@SnakeWorksStudio I think lost in a move along with the original terminator box set from the same bloke i brought these off. Things just disappear over the years.
Good review! It's been a long, long time since anyone has seen this boxed set of Space Orks (Sporks?) up close. Do you still have this boxed set? Did you ever paint up this mob of Ork boyz and their boss? I'm not much of an Ork fan but it'd be a lot of fun to paint these originals up to a high degree, it's 40k history after all!
Interestingly.. On release.. Huruk and squad leader were mixed up.. They all had similar sculpts in follow up range... Oh my days.. Wonderful work.. Sadly not enough minis in box just 17..as I remember..
That padded armour is like the rebels in starwars and the resistance In the first and Best Terminator movie.

No, they are gathering dust again, My son dabbled in the hobby for a while but he’s moved on so not done any painting for a few years now

That "nub" on the gun of that one leader ork is the gun barrel. Don't cut it, bend it back. You may not be able to drill that one.
