I SOOOO needed this video! I was having a difficult time thinking of oil-free, no-sugar, vegan ideas. I'll be making a number of these in the next couple of weeks. Thank you!
I just made the oatmeal... Oh MY GOODNESS - SOOOO good. I've been wanting to make it since you posted it and finally just made it. I made a few changes: I didn't have any nuts, so left those out, I wanted to keep the sugar down so I added some water to the measuring cup, and I added about a 1/4 tsp of cardamon... I could smell it while it was cooking, so good. It's still cooling, but I don't think I'm going to get clusters, but that's fine... in a bowl with some almond milk.... great breakfast or late night snacking since they are so flavorful. Thanks so much, love your channel
Great Holiday gift ideas!!! Thanks so much! As my siblings and friends and I get older it becomes so challenging to purchase appropriate gifts. These goodies may be the answer!
Great ideas! And I'm getting on the meal prep bandwagon. I have to control my blood sugar. But I'm starting with a Mary's mini. Monday. I want to start the year right.
@@LetsEatPlants my aim is til New Year's. We don't do holiday meals for Christmas, so I don't have to worry about that. But I put on 10 pounds after my double round of prednisone for bronchitis and I need help getting it off and also the raging blood sugar it caused.
5:49 I have the same bowl! Ah, who am I kidding? I think EVERYONE has that bowl! I've even bought them for my (now adult) kids! I think my mom had the same about 40 years ago. STELLAR multi-purpose bowl.
Great ideas! I would bake a dozen varieties of cookies as presents for family, friends, co-workers, etc... I didn't know what to do now that I'm eating WFPB. Although I would be giving the goodies away, I really didn't want to use dairy or eggs any more. I appreciate this video so much! 🙂
Really great presentation, so helpful and smart using other channels and making and sharing their recipes. It’s all so helpful and interesting! Now please, why didn’t my granola clump at all? I subbed hemp hearts for the flax because I’m out and forgot until the last minute … ! Could that be the problem? I’m new to granola making and say NO to oil so hoping it’s not the answer. Thanks again! 🤗
Aww thank you so much! 🤗🤗 Ok that’s a great question. I’m not sure if it’s the hemp hearts because I’ve never tried that before, but I would have thought it would work because I assumed the maple syrup is the main component of what’s holding the clumps together!! Did you press the mixture down to the baking sheet in one big clump when you baked it? I’ve found that to be the most successful way to make this granola. Push it down (not too firmly, but gently) so that it’s stuck together, not separated. When it comes out of the oven, don’t touch it for at least 20 minutes while it cools. When it has fully cooled it should be very easy to break apart into clusters. If you followed that procedure and it still didn’t work then I would think the only thing that could be different must be the hemp hearts! In which case it’s an easy fix, just switch to flax next time. 🤩🤩
@@LetsEatPlants Thank you so much! I am going to try again. I think pressing it down firmly is something I can do better on. I’m going to try chia seeds this time too since I’m iced in and still can’t get flax. I will also use the full measure of syrup. It was delicious regardless though so if it doesn’t clump again it will still be eaten joyously! Thank you again and Merry Christmas to you! 🎄🤗 🎁
@@christyis1270 I think using more maple syrup will help too so if you didn’t use the full amount before that could be why! 😃😃 Let me know how it goes with the chia for round 2 and Merry Christmas to you as well! 🤗🤗🎄🎁
Yes! The baking sheet is a 15x21" here are a couple different versions of it: One from Wilton amzn.to/3Wk2ZE4 and one from Nordic Ware amzn.to/3WqiCK4 The silpat I'm using is from Canadian Tire many years ago, but I would trust the Amazon Basic's version! amzn.to/3jdVBM0 🤗🤗
Yes! I have done it on a baking sheet before (like the kind I bake cookies or granola on) or also the same kind of pan that I bake banana bread in. If you want to bake it in a loaf shape fold it into a cylinder when shaping and let it do the last rise in the loaf pan. Let me know if you’re thinking of a different pan that I didn’t mention. 😂😊
@@terrygrenald8414 Here is another one good for sandwich loaf style and has whole wheat mixed in. You can replace the oil with 3Tablespoons water and use maple syrup instead of honey. 😊😊 www.lionsbread.com/honey-whole-wheat-sandwich-bread/#wprm-recipe-container-1572

Yay! I’m so glad to hear that!!! 🥳🥳 Sounds like perfect tweaks. I’m going to have to try the less maple syrup as well! 🤩🤩
I had never thought of cardamon for oatmeal, but it's a really versatile base, isn't it? I've got some cardamon I've been meaning to use up.
3:19 Excellent timing! I bought "too many" cranberries at Thanksgiving and have to use them up!
Hahaha perfect! You can always freeze them too. 😍
Loved this video, simple easy receipts. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to try them all.
You’re welcome so glad you enjoyed! 🥰🥰
Love these ideas! You are killing it on content. I think I saved the last three of your videos. Thank you.

Thanks, Betty! Oh that’s great to hear. 💕 Oooh a Mary’s mini! I bet you could prep some potatoes. 🤩🤩🥔🥔🥔 How many days are you doing?

😂😂 It’s a classic! I actually got this one at the thrift store for an awesome deal! Couldn’t believe anyone would get rid of it. 😅

Do you have a link to your sheet pan and silpats? Thank you!

Did you find that the crackers stayed crispy after some days in the jar?
Yes! Only after about day 5 did they start to get a bit softer. 😁😁
Quick question. Can it be baked in a regular baking pan?
Yes! I have done it on a baking sheet before (like the kind I bake cookies or granola on) or also the same kind of pan that I bake banana bread in. That’s exactly what I was thinking the loaf pan.
Thanks
