      Maybe you could make some more challenging Tutorials.
      how multiple spirits and background communicate, how use "fisheye, whirl, pixelate, mosaic and ghoste", what i can do whit the layer function
      Or last but not least how to make my own block.

    Thanks! Question: I'm new to coding, and I was wondering - Despite the advantage of "dealing with things visually" instead of "jumping straight into the code itself", wouldn't that harm my coding education? If I 'get' to skip the coding part, then how will I learn to actually code?

    • @GetMeCoding
      @GetMeCoding  4 роки тому +4

      Thank you. Good question. Dreamweaver can use HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. You have access to JQuery and datasources. PLus if you are an Adobe oriented person, it integrates with other Adobe tools quite well. You can open text files of programming languages but you don't get the code hints. If you are developing webpages now, ask yourself "what is your goal?". Tools help lower the "tedium" so you can focus on the goals (eg. responsive site, good usability). But I think you can easily explore it and get a feel. If you like it, keep going. Many tools exist but what I like about it, is how long it has been around and how it gets updated.

    This might be a silly question, but I am new to website building and I want to make a website for my online school. What are the pros for building the site with Dreamweaver over using something like Wix websites?

    • @GetMeCoding
      @GetMeCoding  3 роки тому +1

      This is a great question. I do feel all software projects begin with defining your goals. In other words, what do you want to do? If you need a website up and running quick than Wix is a great idea or even Weebly. Note, they do come with great features but as add ons most of the time. You are also limited to what they provide. When you build a site using Dreamweaver or VSCode, etc.. you are controlling the design from bottom up. Wix will have you up and running fast with nice results. Learning to build a site will take a bit of time.

      @@GetMeCoding Thanks for your reply! Since I last commented, I've had the chance to work on some HTML pages in Dreamweaver. I've identified my goals being that I'll need a secure login for my students and course sign ups etc etc. I think I'm getting addicted to this coding thing. However, now that I'm getting into it, one of my friends who is a web developer, is trying to talk me out of coding and just using WordPress instead. I've gotta admit that makes me feel dissapointed because I'm enjoying creating what I envision on the screen. What are your thoughts on giving up on coding and just going with WordPress instead?

    • @joshv2807
      @joshv2807 2 роки тому +1

      @@chickasawclasses7777 I'm late to the discussion, but WordPress is somewhat similar to Wix in that it takes away a large part of the coding aspect. WordPress is a content management system, which makes it easy(ier) to get a website up and running and easier to manage/edit/update the content on your website. If you are enjoying the coding aspect of it and seeing your vision come to life on screen via the code you've written, I'd stick to the coding. Your experience in coding will open up many more doors to different ideas and various projects that I think you'll enjoy far more than just switching to WordPress and getting experience working with it.
      WordPress is easier and quicker to get a website up and running, but actually developing and coding your own website/web application is far more fulfilling and exciting than using WordPress. Hope this helps!

      I think you want to get an idea of what interests you most. Developing a Java application is a different career than developing a front end website. I think if you are already using the Adobe tools, give Dreamweaver a look as they integrate well with each other.

    • @GetMeCoding
      @GetMeCoding  4 роки тому

      Hi Santiago... The short answer is no. Wordpress can provide what you need to build a website using what Wordpress and the community of plugin and theme creators provide. Like any tool, you have to learn it and care for it. Dreamweaver is a tool that allows you to assemble a website from scratch or edit existing websites. Some choose Dreamweaver or other visual code tools because they want to control what goes into their website as they create the code or utilize proven frameworks like Bootstrap, etc and not pull from the community. You can also use Wordpress to build themes that can be used in Wordpress. You can start with a very minimal set of files. This is one example underscores.me/

    I'm brand new to coding, if you fully coded and designed your website and you were ready to publish it are you able to do this from DreamWeaver? Is it simple to get your website up and running once you're finished? Or do you have to pay a company in order to put it out there? Thank you for the informational video!

      There are few ways. There are free website hosts but they often come with banner ads and often do not allow you to use your own domain name (eg. web address). There are some very low cost ones too.

    great balance between the beautiful music and the narration. I have a question, can you please find the current price for DW 2019 in one payment (not a subscription)? I searched for hours. Another question, why does everyone I saw on the internet so far doesn't like DW and describe it as out of fashion or too obsolete? I think it is the only thing out there with the wysiwyg and other features and full control out there. VS Code is cool for those who install google intrusive browsers and products, and Wordpress is too confusing for me so far (both are free). Is there a chance that I may find a DW discounted disk with a serial number/key and never have to pay adobe again as far as you know?

    • @GetMeCoding
      @GetMeCoding  3 роки тому +2

      Not a silly question at all. Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, and any page builder website will have you up and running fast and that may serve a purpose. Also, they control all updates and for the most part security. If you are new to the web, that is a nice relief. Realize if it is free, then it comes with limitations such as no custom domain name, possibly banner ads or watermarks, or limited functionality. You quickly learn there are costs with all directions you go. Using Wordpress, custom HTML with a tool like Dreamweaver or VS Code etc.. have learning curves. I think what it comes down to is askign what is your goal. If you are student or someone that is learnign to code, then knowing the technology and languages is necessary. But if you are someone looking to help get an organization online, I would seek someone who is knowledgeable in this area or keep it simple.
