Ronny is the beast. The legend play very good at last 30 years! I watch him when he young play against White, Davis, Hendry and I know he will be the best. In my country snooker is not play only biliard and Ronny came 1 time here show his skills. Like 10 years ago and now all who loved snooker loved that simple men. Thanks Ronny for meet you. Likewise selby has beaten ronnie 6 times in a ranking final whilst Ronnie has only beaten selby 3 times in a ranking final. Selby 100% has Ronnie’s number in a final- if it gets to a final, the betting money is on selby. That’s how statistics work, that’s what having someone’s number actually means…

Why would Ali not just make ronnie take that hard snooker again?
If you require snookers to win then a ref cant call a miss if your opponent misses, its just a foul. The best you can get is a free ball, which is why Ronnie played the shot slow, to land on the red, because id he goes past and misses it might be a free ball ✌🏽

I remember when there was no coughing in the Chinese crowds as they were so respectful they would not even let a cough out .Now that they're used to the game it's worse than in the UK.

AC was a bit unlucky the way the balls were running against him. ROS was clinical. It would have been good to go 5:5 and watch that. AC is a good player. ROS needs to bury the hatchet, methinks!
Ali is always the best at testing what Ronnie has left. This time he passed the test. If the Chinese didn't know who Ali is before, they know now.
Ali sometimes gets exactly what he doesn't want, like the fluke, and that can swing 1 frame or the other, which is all it takes. That said, 4:24 was not the right shot. Without the in-off, he would be left with a bad black.
The important point for a viewer actually interested in Snooker as a sport is: Ronnie's the one who played the bad safety to let Ali in, and Ali is the one that dared open the pack. This is why some of us don't think Ronnie's the greatest. Learn Snooker.

Why didn't Carter make Ronnie try again on that snooker tucked up behind the black on the cushion??
No miss is called if the player needs snookers, meaning the ball can't be put back behind the black.

What is the rule, explained to a dummy, that Carter didnt make Ronnie try again from the first safety or was it just that he wanted to continue himself?
I think because it wasn't declared a 'miss', if it had been then the ball could've been replaced and Ronnie made to play again.

Even after the 4 points from the foul from Ronnie, he still can't win without additional foul points. Therefore he can't put Ronnie back in because the rules state you can't do that when you can't win without snookers (AKA snookers required stage).
When you need snookers, the miss-rule doesn´t apply. You only have the choice of making him play from where the ball ended up but in this case this made no sense.
Because Ali was at the snooker stage, which means in the event he clears the table with the maximum points available (35 points at that point if he takes the black after the red), he would score a total of 59 points which wouldn't be enough to win the frame (ronnie having scored 64). When you have to run after the score by winning points by having your opponent fouling, it is impossible to make your opponent hit again and again the said-safety or snooker. Ali had to at that point, have to carry on with the landing of the position of the cue ball (if the cue ball landed in a position where Ali couldn't hit a red on the extreme side of the red (left or right), there would have been a free ball for which means you can nominate any ball to be a virtual red). I hope my explanation is clear enough and if you have any more question (with the free ball for example), i would gladly explain to you again

A miss is never declared when one of the players needs one or more snookers to win (in the case Carter). Carter can only make Ronnie play from that position.
Should show the 4th frame: O'Sullivan made a 60 break but Carter won with a 69!
Show a frame that Ronnie lose?! Oh, no, no, no, we'll better continue to upload every frame he won and made 3-4 video from every match he played, ignore all else matches and players like it's never exists. We're sure it's exactly what fans wanted to.

Carter has won 5 ranking titles - which is 5 more than the great majority of pro players! Puts him 18th = on all time list
The referee is thoroughly impressive for me; seen her a few times now and she is proffesional, clearly in charge with occasionally telling the audience to quiten down and she is alluring generally, especially her pretty face and backside and meaningful bosom held in by a decent blouse.
Also, it seems quite clear this was probably the match of the tournament so far and it would have been a fascinating betting heat - i suspect shrewd money went in the betting in running markets.
I would have liked to seen the match and from this frame it seems clear Ronnie had to be on his game to beat Carter.
At some point - it will become clear to the wider snooker audience just how decent Carter as a player actually is.
I think he will have a decent run at some point and obviously go deep in some tournament - clearly his objective is ultimately to win the world.
Ronnie seems in the last innings or so of his career; this might amount to a few years more at the highest end of snooker, or perhaps less than that, either way, he is blessed with the ability to still win matches and tournaments of the highest quality, primarily, because his conserves energy from winning through effortless breaks in one visit winning the frame.
Other players still playing at the highest level and fairly old now, need a couple of goes or more to win frames that become longer matches overall and so sap their energy the next match they play and so Ronnie can win tournaments still.
Certainly, Mark Williams can with his same sort of blessed potting and breakbuilding ability and for other players older like Higgins perhaps, possibly the long pots are just not going in as they once did.
I base my remarks on the snippets i see on YT, and so the biggest surprise really to me is that Robertson has basically descended into some sort of middle ranking player or massive under achiever.
Were he right at his best i think you would find heightened interest in snooker with enticing match ups that sees genuinely the best players today in the last 8 onwards - arguably that is often not occurring and so i think lesser players at the present time have a massive chance to earn money and rabking points whilst big names have form issues that often is temporal, given class is permanent.
No matter how much time passes.. he's always going to be bitter..
