I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that Ashley and Jared’s happily ever after was one of the biggest surprises of my life and truly the best twist that Bach Nation ever captured! To see them so happy and right for each other is incredibly heartwarming and still so intriguing, knowing how messy it began! I just can’t get enough of these two. I also love that they didn’t dress up for this appearance, they were just totally chilling out and being themselves.
I have a super similar story to Ashley and Jared where I knew that my boyfriend liked me more than he was letting on cause he would keep coming back and then saying we should just be friends and telling me he didn’t like me. And finally he gave in to his feelings and now we’ve been together for 7 years. I feel truly blessed because I know this is not normal for a lot of couples!

Ashley's body language towards Jared is soo continually touchy/feely that it is truly endearing . She looks straight at him with body and face pointed directly to him with her hand on him intermittently and often_. And that's how you would want any girl to love you in ones ideal & truest love life you can tell how much she loves him ._. their joint body language is truly a guide that those two are really connected and truly in-love and authentic with each other

I'm an Asian American WoC, and the way she treated Caila was honestly triggering. This move will inevitably affect how we (esp PoC) view Dear Shandy. I hate to say it, but I'd imagine you want honestly from your fanbase, and here it is.

The answers either don’t actually answer the question but around it or it’s so vague and general that it’s a non-answer. I think you need to start asking for more specificity since that’s also what you have said you like on your podcast. Saying ‘we fight well’ or ‘this is how we make up’ is not answering the question.
Sharleen, I generally love your content and especially enjoy how thoughtful, classy and deliberate you are in your presentation. These are traits which set you apart from many other reality TV show types, and I always look forward to your posts. However, my heart sank when I saw that Ashley and Jared were in this episode, and I am very disappointed that you have chosen to feature them. As another commenter has mentioned, Ashley has an extremely problematic history and has frankly been one of the worst bullies to come out of Bachelor Nation. Her words and actions have shown her to be especially vicious to POC, not to mention her ageism and slut-shaming antics. Furthermore, she has not shown an ounce of remorse or introspection following her ghastly behavior unless it serves to bolster her popularity and relevance in the franchise. She has perfected the art of weaponizing her white woman tears to get her way and only seems to have mellowed out because she "won". This is not a cute or relatable relationship - I do not know a single person who has ever thrown such lengthy tantrums or played such appalling mind games in order to Stockholm Syndrome someone into falling in love with them. Additionally, given that the issues of racism and bullying have been so heightened in Bachelor Nation recently, I am surprised that she is one of the voices you have chosen to amplify, as she is easily one of the worst offenders to come out of this franchise. I understand (and appreciate) that you tend to stay above the regular churn of gossip and scandal in Bachelor Nation. From a business perspective, I can see how there is an incentive to maintain professionalism amongst your peers, especially since you continue to engage in and profit from proximity to this franchise. After all, there is a limited pool of successful Bachelor couples, so while I don't like it, I can understand the logic of bringing Ashley and Jared on, especially given their relative popularity in the franchise. I also recognize that it would be an almost Sisyphean task to find popular Bachelor Nation people who don't have at least some history of problematic behavior. Nevertheless, you are the one who has the platform and choice of whose voices to promote, and I find it unlikely that you have been unaware of Ashley's behavior given her slew of well-documented transgressions over several years. Ultimately, the choice to remain neutral or turn a blind eye to these harmful behaviors is an active one. I hope that in the future you take these things into consideration with the same thoughtfulness and deliberation that you have demonstrated in other areas.
