hey so this video kinda of randomly blew up - thank you for that! - but I'm kinda of embarrassed since it's come to my attention that I did not pay attention that well when making this video :( my bad. I will be putting out a new and somewhat more accurate 2000's playlist tonight that I think is pretty good! The vibe is a bit different from this video as I put some more rnd/ less pop songs in their aswell form the same era :3

ty for putting this playlist together!! i've personally been on a 1st + 2nd gen gg binge as well as a general jpop one so this has scratched both itches and gives me specific groups/artists to do deeper dives on. i've overlooked wonder girls for some reason, never heard of chocolate, and need to listen to more s.e.s desperately. kind of shocked there's no morning musume or akb48 on this since they were pretty popular back in the day. that being said, jpop is also semi-inaccessible to non-japanese audiences (especially stuff from the 2000s) so i understand completely. edit: i just realized the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, do it!" sample in kara's "mr." was also included in a song on the pizza tower soundtrack looool
