I just bought this table after watching Part 2 thinking it should be resolved by now. Sure enough, I received 1 set-screw with mine. What a let down. Set it all up, only able to adjust the blade one-way. Now I have to wait for them to send me a set-screw (if they will) or try and find one locally before I can use this thing.
Damn, But on the bright side. They will send you one out ASAP. Owner/operator is a straight up dude.. Let me know how it goes. I pinned this comment for others to see. Thanks for watching.
Got a response to my email that this is a rare occurrence and sending multiple set screws was confusing for customers who didn’t need them. Either way, they shipped out set screws right away. Glad I watched your video before purchasing so I didn’t waste a bunch of time troubleshooting or cutting up my table top!
@@DaChyKH Awesome man. He told me it was a rare case also. Whatever LOL. if you cut aluminum dont use to fine of teeth. This setup works awesome. You will be happy with it! What band saw you using?
Okay, I was slightly amused how you stated 'it cut crooked as shit'. No - YOU cut it crooked as shit (wink wink). You need a cradle, sled or a shim under the right side of the tube. The left side of the tube has a rib holding it up off the table about an 1/8" or so, the right side is down lower sitting on the stand with no height compensation for the rib. And a higher fence for the miter gauge. That caused a crooked cut in both directions, since the left side of the tube was higher - the radius of the tube against your fence caused it to sit out of square against the fence. Had the fence been higher (to the center of the tube) you would only have had the vertical cut out of square rather than the horizontal as well. With that said - I can't believe you held a tube by hand only. Tubes/pipes, etc. have a tendency to spin when the blade engages. That could have caused some lethal hurt to your hands. Sigh. Also - either clamp or screw the stand onto your table. You need both hands holding the tube with full concentration on your grip - not having to worry about holding the stand from sliding forward as you push the tube through the blade. I do like the white paint, though you maybe should have left it bare where it shows through the miter gauge slot, I'm thinking it's going to get scratched and worn looking pretty fast from the guide blade. Going now to view your Part 2. Love your channel, love your camera action! Sound, focus - all very good for sure! A tip to build your subscriber list - go back and look at the view count on your videos. Once you see which get the higher view count, you'll get an idea what people like to watch on your channel and you can gear your videos towards that direction. Be well my friend!
Sux you had problems right off the start. Swag should have gave the screw for the second option with every sale. I would be pissed to. Where is part 2?
I'm surprised none of the other comments mentioned that you were cutting the pipe on an angle because one side had a lip and was raising up that side, so it was never going to be straight to begin with

There is a part 2. Once I put the second set screw in , it was solid as a rock and cut straight.
