    Interesting. Today i swam in the cold sea, i accidentally swallowed some water. Immediately my intuition said, oh well, that might help my stomach issues, thought no more of it. I then did some research and this video appeared. I'm so impressed, thank you. 😊

    There's a big difference between sea salt and table salt. Table/Kosher salt has no trace minerals, while sea salt has dozens which help neutralize acids in your body... which ultimately helps your body fight off diseases such as cancer. Also, these people do not drink sea salt as a refreshment; they drink it periodically as a health supplement. So basically we should be taking notes, vs assuming they don't know what they're talking about because they're in Africa.

    If the sea water is clean it is beneficial to drink a little (0.5 cup/day) for its mineral richness, along with fresh water to dilute it in the body. People use sea salt for all sorts of culinary purposes and others wonder where the salt comes from. Some people even pay for the refined minerals in a supplement, while seawater is free.

    1-2 cups of seawater a day is shown to have no ill effects on the body. Also, it is noted by the boy that fresh water is consumed to counter the high salt levels that would otherwise be dangerous. I would see more danger in floating fragments in the water doing internal damage than rising Na. He says he lets the water settle, but it would be beneficial to sift the water maybe. Anyway, I'm not defending this to the death or anything...It's just an interesting practice I don't see much harm in.

    I think he was making a comment on how Americans are wasteful or how Americans take clean water for granted when there are people in other countries who would kill each other for our delicious toilet water(?) I dunno. Four other people agreed with him. My reply back implied he used "fresh drinking (toilet) water" as drinking water.

  • @PierreMontgomery
    @PierreMontgomery 11 років тому

    So, you drink from the toilet? Should PB do a video on you called "The Toilet Drinker"? Also, America isn't the only country in the world with toilets. Your entire comment is moot.
