I sure love watching two quality NCAA gymnastics 🤸♀️ teams compete. How wonderful to see such difficulty on each event. Both Michigan and OU threw some hard moves. Love seeing Maggie Nichols compete! Thank you.
Agreed - I can see maybe a slight "imperceivable" error in a routine with more difficulty that they might overlook and give a 10, but not MULTIPLE. All of those should have added up to at LEAST .05 or .1 off.
And that beam routine just got "the Maggie Nichols bonus" - I like Maggie, but this whole "benefit of the doubt" scoring needs to stop. Visible errors should receive the deductions. I get that college scoring is looser, but 10s shouldn't be given when an error was made. If the average viewer can see it, a trained judge can see it, and they do, but choose not to take it.
sarah parks I totally agree! At the same time I felt like almost all of the routines were over-scored on beam. Not saying all of them were, but a majority. I love watching all of these gymnasts but I feel like not all of them did as amazing as the scores shown with all the wobbles
I think the judges gave her bonus points for throwing the front tuck. But there were a couple of visible, if small, balance checks. Judges definitely show bias in this sport.
Honestly, even watching another recent Oklahoma meet, a LOT of their athletes even get this "Oklahoma bonus." Actually it think it was their senior night meet. One of the gymnasts on the floor had a very uncontrolled landing that should have been a solid tenth, plus some other "not as perfect landings, but still good" and still got a 9.95! What the heck.
Uncontrolled landing? How so? Maggie nailed her landing. Her feet were maybe 8 inches apart! You would have them deducting for not moving her heels together - which gymnasts often do (move their heels) when they want it to seem like they are sticking but allows them to move enough to regain their balance... she earned that 10.
Just lina her feet were miles apart- as I understand this year NCAA rules are that you need to bring your feet together to count as a stick. Landing also quite low in the knees. I think Brenna did better.
How on earth does Maggie get a 10 on her vault when Brenna doesn't??? It seems so unfair. Brenna has been so clean on vault, floor and even bars this year. She deserves better.
If I were judging bars I would deduct for all the gymnasts who pike down in their giants instead of swinging with a straight body. Just me, but I view it as a form break.
@@alyssavanauker720 From the high bar to the low bar? Sorry but that makes no sense whatsoever. The low bar is always on the opposite side of where they're piking down from.
Sorry but Maggie shouldn't have gotten a 10 without her feet being able to come together. That's a new rule and I guess it didn't apply here lol and then a 10 on her beam!?!? Even more crazy. Every other OU gymnast should've had a 10 then! I love Maggie tho so no hate, but those judges are terrible.
So sick of Kelly Funderburg whatever her name is. I feel like 75% of what she says are backhanded compliments and obnoxious squawking. And can we please start scoring Maggie appropriately? I love her as much as the next person, but the 10's this meet were a bit of a stretch... Also, I frickin' love Brenna Dowell. If anyone should have scored a 10 tonight it's her.
Let's not forget that Maggie has no control over the fact that judges keep overscoring her. And thanks for posting this meet @GymFanatic :)

Paige's run on vault looks crazy. I LOVE IT. DO YOUR THANG.
Maggie’s routine was not a 10. She had a balance check on the leap series, Acro series, and her front tuck.

I would say it is a 9.9

Just lina I agree with you, i’ve seen perfect routines that get a 9.9 when it should be a 10 maggie’s should’ve been a 9.925 or 9.95

Yes!!! Thank you for posting!!!!
How does Maggie get a 10 on vault with an uncontrolled landing and Brenna literally DRILLS it and gets a 9.975. I don’t get it
But Brenna has leg separation in the first part of the vault, while Maggie not.
Rafael Araújo I still prefer Brenna’s. There is barely a leg seperation
Completely agree Tristin!

thank you for uploading this x
"oh yay! another meet on youtube! so excit.... oh god Kelly is a commentator...."

and don't get me started on that beam score!
You’re amazing 👌🏻
how did maggie get a 10 she wobbled 3 times on her leap her front tuck and her acro connection
Could you please upload the Florida at Missouri meet?
can you post the Arkansas at Florida meet?
OU is amazing and deserves to be ranked #1, but I’m really hoping LSU wins the super six this year
Sarah Finigan and Myia Hambrick are definitely worth watching
Do you have LSU vs Auburn?
LITERALLY ANY ONE OF THE OTHER GIRLS ON THE SOONERS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A TEN ON BEAM IF MAGGIE DID. This is starting to get really Annoying
Agree! Stefani Catour's routine was definitly a ten though ... i was like: 1st up on beam, and 1st 10 but then, no ..
Could some of these girls go pro if they wanted?

The bars are too close together for gymnasts to do that

silver and gold :)
