this is the OG Hummel theme and variation video on youtube. i remember my late Oboe teacher showing me this video and i knew in my freshmen year, that this was going to be my Senior Concerto piece.
Most lovely oboe creation by Nepomuk Hummel. All his music is great. In this instance being so delicate and artistically interpreted by a talented and gracious little girl makes it more enchanting. My heart rejoices.
Looking in the Canadian RCM Oboe Syllabus, this song is rated at a Grade 10 Level! To reach this level takes several years just to attain. I am astounded at her maturity and her skill at presenting the piece at hand!
wow and I was just looking to find the piano accompanied version of this and some inspiration but I think I might just have to quite now, What do you think? I have been playing for 6 years and I don't know if it really is worth it if she is already that good! Love you for you are amazing! Xxxx
